@PostOpPrincess Just had surgery on 7/14. My doc told me I’d be in bad pain- prescribed pain meds plus RX ibu for breakthrough. He was super honest. I had to tell him today I had no pain. He was thoroughly confused by that. 🤪

@kizzyskrizzy @PostOpPrincess Oh yes- this is the worst! I understand that people want to believe this is true, but logically it makes no sense whatsoever. Are usually ask what it feels like when you burn your finger on the stove or stub, your toe or get a paper cut, does it hurt?
English

@PostOpPrincess I’ve had patients complain to me that we’re not controlling their pain because “the surgeon told me I will be pain free” after TKR or THR 🤦🏼♀️

@orthokotan I pay approx $12 (USD) per month for unlimited coffee (hot or iced), fountain drinks which I use while at work 3x/week. Of course they hope you will buy a pastry or salad but I only do the 1-2 times per month.

@rkh_md @fuzzymittens What do you think about this podcast so far? Am planning on developing some activities for nursing students using the series- need to see how the pod unfolds.
English

@fuzzymittens Listening to The Retrievals podcast. Story about how nurse was diverting fentanyl and 5 months worth of patients were going through procedures where they were getting saline instead of pain meds….

How many procedures would you do where the anesthesia/sedation didn’t work before you would raise alarm bells? #MedTwitter

@SilverStars87 I’m sorry
This is a lot to go through and I’m sorry that your colleagues are not being more helpful and supportive. Hoping you are feeling better soon and that they are able to show you a bit of empathy.

@a_wannabe_Dr @ThePhDPlace This is what I do and it’s only “failed” me once or twice

@ThePhDPlace Write directly to the authors. They don't earn anything if you buy their article, their only reward is citation. So if you kindly ask them, they will be happy to send you a copy. I'm sure they had the same problem with you, at least once in their academic career.

@Q2turnQueen I like them! Great price & nice colors. My underscrub got pills on it fairly quickly which made me sad because I kind of baby them and don’t dry them in the dryer.

@magenta173 Congratulations Heather! Looking forward to reading your work on the big screen!

Happy to share how I teach beginning nursing students to take notes and read nursing textbooks. It’s important to remember experiences with note taking + reading textbooks varies. This is one way to help level the playing field in #nursinged.

@Sinmiaraoye It makes no sense- it’s the same way in nursing education- terminal degree, varied experience, certifications, etc. Difficult to work in a metropolitan area at that level of compensation.
English

@Sinmiaraoye Ah the re-entry. I’m glad you got to spend time with the family!
English

@LizWFab And she is not happy- human, you will pay for this misstep!
English

@Sinmiaraoye Sinmi ours started when it was still light out so idk
