I think being a whale or KOL with a huge conviction bag in a known wallet can do more harm than good. A public position might create confidence at first, but once it becomes too large, it turns into future sell pressure. If a known KOL owns 1% of the supply, everyone can see the entry and track every transfer. Even if he is not selling, the market knows that bag eventually needs an exit. This also makes the coin less attractive to MMs. Why would they spend millions running someone else’s bag? There are thousands of dead coins they can crime instead. It is much easier to find a bottomed coin, quietly accumulate the supply, then bring attention back after everyone has lost interest. I do not believe moves like $TROLL were created by normal retail traders alone. MMs were involved. Before $TROLL ran, it was not sitting in every KOL’s public wallet or all over @fomo. The coin was allowed to die, the floor was accumulated and attention returned only after the positioning was finished. A public bag can create short term attention, but a huge public bag can become resistance. Traders and MMs may refuse to bid even if the coin is good because they do not want to fund your exit.
