Senators introduced SR 22/23-025, a transfer student inclusion bill sponsored by Tyler Mahomes. The bill amends language of ASUC bylaws to include avenues of membership for transfer students in student orgs in the criteria of review to receive ASUC funding.

External Affairs Vice President Bailey Henderson discussed the department’s focus on disability justice on the state level, as well as improving campus safety and street lighting. Several department members visited DC in Dec. to speak with legislators.

In executive reports, Academic Affairs Vice President James Weichert voiced his goals for the semester. Project plans include ongoing grade reforms, L&S futures, eliminating certain student fees and allocating more of campus budget to advising/DSP programs.
