@vaidesmaiar Eu amo We Are One. Ela teve uma missão complicada pq Waka Waka estourou muuuuuito. E acho que ela teria tido muito mais sucesso se tivesse Shakira e Ivete ao invés de JLo e Claudia Leitte

Opinião polêmica: We Are One é melhor que Waka Waka.

E o tempo INOCENTOU PRA CARAMBA o Brasil.

@TaraCooey @spaceisace What I see is a lot of people saying they weren’t selected because they weren’t as qualified or that selecting one would’ve been DEI, which is a sexist assumption. There are fifteen qualified women right there and we can only hope there was no negative bias as it’s often the case

@lilyisreading @spaceisace I don’t disagree that it’s unfortunate, as a woman, I love to see other women succeed. But I just feel like people are making this out to be a personal attack against women when it isn’t. I have no doubt women will be on the moon soon :)

"it's not misogyny when they leave women out of one mission, lol" it is when you say only men were qualified enough for this mission though.

@TaraCooey @spaceisace Everyone in the corps is insanely qualified! They are the best of the best! Not a single word against any member of this crew, it’s just unfortunate that there isn’t a woman on it. Christina will always be the first woman on a lunar mission, but there should be more.

@lilyisreading @spaceisace Not necessarily pilots! I Misspoke on that one. But 4/5 of the crew are. The crew is also very high ranking and have insane credentials. We have a good crew and we are moving forward with space exploration. Im glad Christina gets to stay as number 1 gal lol for a bit

@Catholic_Astro @Booster__14 @montanabohemian Of course these choices can be defended! They’re ALL extremely qualified! Other than a few with issues we wouldn’t know of (health-related for example), you could select pretty much anyone in the corps and they would excel. That’s the point - the “best crew” is a myth.

And I can defend those choices. Frank Rubio is extremely qualified for this role, he held the record for longest mission by a US astronaut at 371 days, he also has immense spacewalk experience and has most recently served as the class advisor to the new class 2025 astronauts. Andre Douglas despite being a rookie has had more experience training on Orion than pretty much anyone except the AR2 crew. He trained on it for 4 years. He is also greatly qualified for this mission, especially when this mission was added in the last few months.

everyone mad about no women on artemis iii somehow missed that like the whole crew are all basically fighter pilots. which is needed to test, you know, DOCKING THE LANDER IN SPACE. like am i the only one that was paying attention.

@TaraCooey @spaceisace You said only one woman was qualified to the mission. There are fifteen of them in the corps. Then you said they had to be pilots. There’s five of them. When you say only woman is qualified, then you’re dismissing the credentials of the other fourteen

@lilyisreading @spaceisace I never dismissed the other women’s credentials lol. They are more than capable of doing the mission I have no doubts with that. I believe nasa chose the right people for this specific mission, that’s all. I am in hopes that the next one women can take the first steps on themoon

@TaraCooey @spaceisace Not really. Mission specialists don’t have to be pilots. Andre Douglas isn’t, for instance, and he’s 100% qualified. Btw NASA has five astronauts with a pilot background - Nicole Mann, Anne McClain, Jasmin Moghbeli, Nichole Ayers and Jessica Wittner. Not “only one”.

@lilyisreading @spaceisace I think every woman is capable of doing anything. This mission is just very specific to pilots really. It’s needed for docking space craft systems and testing those out. People just wanna make it seem like women are being put down.

To be fair, many of these female astronauts are geared towards more mission specialist roles. Some are geared towards engineering and piloting but are assigned to training for future missions and or were just on previous missions for instance Anne McClain, a popular choice, was just on Crew 10.
