HON. DASUKI AGAIN Hon. Abdussamad Dasuki, representing Kebbe/Tambuwal Federal Constituency of Sokoto state at the House of Representatives, has once again proven that he is a true representative of the people. Hon. Dasuki pays very serious attention to details and he is never afraid to speak up. He was the one who made Nigerians know that the tax law was forged when he stood up to raise the alarm on the floor of the house. Now, it is the amendment to the much debated Electoral Act. The deputy speaker Benjamin Kalu has never hidden his criminal tendencies. Imagine wanting members to pass an amended act they haven't seen or read. No hard or soft copies. It is not even on their platforms. Yet one mumu representative from the SW was actually moving a motion to that effect if not for the vigilance of Hon. Dasuki. Imagine the lack of transpiracy they display in the amendment of the all very important Electoral Act. This won't even happen in the anim@ls kingdom. Is there anybody who is still in doubt that @OfficialAPCNg is a gang of criminals? #unmutedthepodcast #tegatalks

SUPREME COURT VOIDS PDP'S IBADAN CONVENTION The Supreme Court has voided the Ibadan Convention organized by the Tanimu Turaki-led faction of the People's Democratic Party PDP in Ibadan last November. In a split decision of three justices to two, the Apex Court in its lead judgement prepared and read by Justice Stephen Adah condemned, in strong terms, the disobedience of court orders by the Turaki camp. This is the verdict on the appeal challenging the decision of the Court of Appeal that affirms that former Jigawa State governor, Sule Lamido, was unlawfully excluded from the chairmanship race. The five-member Apex Court panel expressed displeasure with the Turaki group for its disobedience of the order of the trial court including the instruction to halt the the planned Ibadan convention until forms are sold to all those interested to run for executive positions. The Apex Court further stressed that the Ibadan Convention went ahead in defiance of a subsisting court order, an action deemed as 'condemnable'. Justices Mohammed Garba and Justice Chidioma Nwosu-Iheme are the others for the majority decisions while Justices Haruna Tsammani and Abubakar Sadiq Umar were in the minority.

This has to be the most shameless government in Nigeria’s history. About three weeks ago, the leadership of the PRP, led by its National Chairman, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, paid a courtesy visit to the National Chairman of the ADC. A few days later, rumours began to circulate that the coalition leadership was considering the PRP as an option. Although this is not true, it took only that single whiff of speculation for a faction to emerge almost overnight in what had been a historically tranquil political party, challenging the leadership of Baba-Ahmed. This is the reality of Nigeria’s shrinking democratic space under the All Progressives Congress. The government may continue to deny any involvement in the crises within other parties, insisting that these are merely internal failures, but the pattern is visible. The world can see what is happening. More importantly, they can see where this path leads. But here is the question: is there no one within the APC who can caution those engineering crises in opposition parties that they are, in fact, sowing the seeds of national instability? A political strategy that is anchored on sabotaging every opposition platform is ultimately self-destructive. When people are left with no options, they are, in reality, left with no choice.

IBADAN DECLARATION Communiqué issued at the end of Opposition Political Parties National Summit held on Saturday April 25, 2026 in Ibadan, Oyo State. Participating Opposition Parties in Nigeria, after an extensive deliberation on the collective threats that we face and the existential challenges facing our country under the stranglehold of the oppressive and anti-democratic All Progressives Congress (APC) and given the need for urgent, collective action to rescue our nation and the destiny of over 200 million compatriots, hereby resolve as follows: 1. That we shall resist all machinations by the APC to foist a one-party State on Nigeria and fight for the survival of multi-party democracy in our country. 2. That despite the onslaughts and manoeuvrings of the ruling party, the APC to impose President Bola Tinubu as the sole Presidential candidate in 2027; we shall field candidates and contest the 2027 Presidential and other elections. 3. That we shall work towards fielding one Presidential Candidate for the 2027 elections, which shall be agreed and supported by all participating opposition parties to rescue our nation and her long suffering masses. 4. That the INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Ojo Amupitan, having shown bias and partisanship in favour of the ruling APC, should not conduct the 2027 general elections as Nigerians across board have lost confidence in him and his capacity to guarantee the required neutrality to deliver free, fair, transparent and credible elections. His continuous stay in office is vexatious and capable of triggering wide spread crisis in our nation. 5. That the National Assembly should immediately review the Electoral Act, 2026 to remove all sections that threaten the sanctity and integrity of the elections and run counter to constitutional provisions. 6. That all leading politicians that are being detained or harassed on bailable offfences be released with immediate effect and allowed to exercise their fundamental rights of participation and inclusivity as Nigerians. 7. That we consider the recent guidelines released by the INEC as obstacles, deliberately engineered to impose conditions and deadlines on the opposition parties. We therefore demand that INEC extends the deadline for primaries till the end of July, 2026. 8. The Summit commends Nigerians for their resilience and readiness to work with Opposition Parties to free our nation from State capture. 9. The National summit of Opposition Political Parties thank the Oyo State Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde and the people of Oyo State for hosting the epochal event. SIGNED: Chairmen of Participating Opposition Parties.

“Nigeria has been the producer of oil that we know. Yet when you go to Nigeria, there were queues of people looking to buy fuels in petrol stations for a long time until one African stepped forward and build a refinery, Aliko Dangote. The solution wasn't in Europe or Asia, the solution was in Nigeria..." - William Ruto, Kenya's President

Dangote calls for a visa-free policy for all Africans to ensure free movement within Africa: I would like to use this opportunity, especially to urge Kenyan President Ruto, to convince his colleagues to allow the free movement of goods, services, and people. Today, with a European passport, you can move faster in Africa than as an African, which I believe must change. Why can't we allow visa-free travel for all Africans?

Fielding Sule Garo as Abba Kabir’s running mate is a political calculation well processed. He is the best option as far as kano is concerned- a square peg in a square hole. He offered a zonal balancing and mass acceptance. It is almost a walk in the park for Abba now that he has done the needful.

He proposed a system of primaries used by late Malam Aminu Kano. He said each candidate should have 2 votes, one for himself and the other for who he wants if he doesn’t get it. That means 2 votes for each candidate. Then they will count total votes and the one with the highest gets the ticket.

The prominent Islamic scholar and 2023 Kano ADC governorship candidate has advised the ADC on how to achieve a consensus arrangement among presidential aspirants, in line with the party’s principles, in a way that will satisfy everyone. He explained that, for example: - H.E. Atiku Abubakar should emerge as the presidential candidate - HE Peter Obi should serve as the running mate - HE Rotimi Amaechi should produce the Secretary to the Federal Government - Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso should produce the Head of Service While the likes of Nasir El-Rufai and others should be considered for key ministerial positions.
