@pickle_crippled @IFrostBolt That’s not true for cryo, people have been spamming grenades on that map for weeks. Shotgun nerfs did a lot for outpost specifically but nade spam continues to be the biggest issue on cryo since the disinjector

Guys, I think Marathon is making me worse at shooters. We’re opening and ending fights with grenades. I don’t even need to think that hard anymore w/ Recon. The aiming/shooting is easy with the crazy aim assist and fast ttk. Help

@AustinDavis0696 @staycationtg I think they’re adding that in the future along with a camera speed increase but they haven’t confirmed a date

@staycationtg Controller gets boned here, unless they introduce a way to increase bag cursor speed/decrease friction.

2 suggestions for grenade spam in Marathon: 1. Delete the util quick wheel, so you have to go into your inventory to equip an item into your util slot. If it empties, load it again. 2. Delete auto load from backpack, make players re select util to re equip in the quick wheel.

@staycationtg I really think the solution is as simple as not allowing grenades to stack, not on the player or in the vault. And obviously grenades need to be much more rare on cryo.

@SneakyBeaver Easily the worst set of contracts in the game. The bio-chain mechanic is so repetitive and I really dislike when a contract requires the entire raid to be completed, it forces you to do it solo or have no choice but to ignore your teammates objectives if you’re in a crew

I don't know who needs to hear this but Sekiguchi co-evolution contracts can suck my ass. What do you mean I have to kill runners to get to bio, hope to find a spider turd somewhere nearby, go to bio, run a Boston marathon to quarantine and THEN hunt someone down? Might as well change the name to "Delayed Rook Homicide"

Ideas for balancing equipment in Marathon as it'd became an obnoxious spam meta. Cooldown / heat cost - can't throw at certain heat level or timer between throwing Fragile - make all throwables fragile when you load in with them (reduces overall uptime during the run) Drop rates - Cryo drip rates could be tuned or rarities adjusted Locked slot - you have a dedicated throwable slot and only here you can slot or carry throwables. Anything picked up mid run can't occupy this slot Not sure what else

@MarathonGG_ Obliterate the grenade spam meta. Gunplay should decide engagements, abilities and utility should complement it

@pickle_crippled @IFrostBolt Grenade spam existed before the nerfs. The nerfs just made the rest of the maps fun but cryo continues to be ruined by grenades as it has been for weeks

@IFrostBolt Yall streamers bitched about bubbles and they got nerfed then u bitched about people stacking them and they made it purple and then u cried like babies about shotguns and they got nerfed so yes now all it is is grenade spam and it’s all your fault Cross is the 👑 bitch of y’all.

@RyGilliam I’m definitely not in the 1% and I disagree, cryo hasn’t been fun since people realized the nade spam meta. My backpack space is effectively cut in half because I have to carry as many grenades as possible

I don’t envy the Marathon dev team For Reddit and the non-1% (myself included), this has been the best weekend of Cryo since launch. It’s so much more enjoyable But whatever changes they made for the rest of us are clearly making the game way worse for the lvl 150+ crew. Sucks

I’ve been an advocate for reducing the grenade stack limit since early Cryo. Slowing down the animation would be another great addition, but removing stacking altogether on all grenades would be great too. Makes no sense that we can bring in 14 of any offensive grenade type and still have enough space for heals and ammunition.

@Pheonix__ttv @isolatedrook I never said anything about reducing damage, my stance has been specifically against spamming them. Either they restrict nades to the equipment slot only or they make grenades not stack at all, not even in the vault

I should be afraid of a grenade flying into my room Tarkov has a"pin pull/pull out" animation for nades. Allows them to be incredibly powerful. Makes it so you can't spam them. The fix imo

People are complaining about the Misriah now so here we go again Nerfing all the good weapons while keeping nade spam unchanged is only hurting the game, especially Cryo

@ItsShVo @Bugzvii 1v3 or “clutch” scenarios in games like this generally follow a similar pattern: Isolate a 1v1, reposition, repeat. In between winning a 1v1 and repositioning, you often have very little/no time to empty the clip onto a knock before their teammates react and punish you for it

@Pheonix__ttv @isolatedrook How would they feel useless? They felt perfectly fine back when people didn’t have 20+ grenades every run. Grenade spam needs to be addressed more than anything or we can watch it take the same course as D2, guns should never be the secondary option

@limitlessdame @isolatedrook It's a little tough. How do you nerf them without making nades feel useless? Also, you should be able to take as many as you want..you are trading active loot slots. I cant see a good way without slowing the rate of throw. Potency nerfs for nades will feel shitty.

Nerf nade damage/radius and only allow a max of like 4 total nades/bubbles or whatever to be held at once. This is not ok bro lmfao. Cryo this weekend has been pretty rough for a lot of teams ive noticed. Ive talked bout this before early into the game and still feel the same way. Genuinely just want a good meta to play in. I understand positioning n what not makes a lot of these scenarios but also throwing 16 frags is 1000% NOT OK

@JustJamba @MarathonDevTeam I didn’t say anything about the knife. The wstr was definitely too strong considering everyone and their dog was running it. And I will always push back heavily against ability or in this case, utility spam. Grenade spam ruins cryo
