@Eldonchorizo_ The combat gameplay is really good (definitely the best for a M&L game with/since Superstar Saga) and the setting is interesting, the only real problem is that the pacing is a bit frustrating at times

Is this game really as bad as people say? I never got around to play it but I see a lot of people praising it. And the graphics look really nice. I love games like Mario RPG.

Like, if someone told me the Switch 2 would get a new Mario Kart and a new 3D platformer from the 3D Mario team in its first year and the game with the stronger art direction would be the Mario Kart game I wouldn't have believed them AT ALL

It's actually crazy how Mario Kart went from being a series where artstyle and visuals never were a priority (and even lacking sometimes), to currently being the best-looking 1st party Switch 2 game

It's also because the art direction in these games is almost nonexistent
Across the 4 games, the only time there's something a bit interesting on the screen visually is for that one NSMBU level that looks like a Van Gogh's painting

I think the reason why ppl look down upon the nsmb series so much in spite of none of them being bad is cuz for the most part it was the first time mainline mainline Mario did the same thing again and again. Like when you think about it the jump from SMB3 to World was insane
