A thoroughly enjoyable day was had by the Ilkley men’s team who played against our friends from Lindrick Golf Club. The team was given a very warm welcome prior to the match on Lindrick’s magnificent course. This was followed by a superb lunch with plenty of fun and laughter.

Moses- the 6th, and shortest , hole at Lindrick. requires a carry over mounds to reach a well-defended tricky green featuring numerous borrows and undulations.

A packed Ryder Cup Room to welcome home our Spanish Amateur Champion. Tom was quizzed by the Captain and entertained the crowd with a mix of great stories and good humour. A great night for our members and Tom alike !!!

Busy Greens Week!! Greens, Tees & Semi Greens completed, drill-seeding, tree work, stump-grinding and plenty of mowing completed too. Weather made it challenging but the team has done a fantastic job. Thank you to ALS for helping get the job done 💪🏼

@LindrickGC Stubbings? Have holes now got names? The photo from above gives a very false impression of how it plays. It's a VERY steep drop from 45 yards short of the centre of the green meaning almost all approaches are blind shots. It's the ultimate risk reward. River is OoB, not a hazard!

Stubbings. The 4th hole is a picturesque par 5 designed by Tom Dunn. A drive over gorse with bunkers to accentuate the dogleg. A blind approach to a sunken green, with the River Ryton lurking behind, presents a memorable challenge to any golfer.

Everyone at Lindrick Golf Club would like to pass on our huge congratulations to our very own 2026 Spanish Amateur Champion , Tom Osborne. Tom defeated his England teammate, doubles partner and roommate Eliot Baker in a high quality final winning 3&2. Pure class Tom all week !!!

A resounding 6&5 semi- final win for Lindricks Tom Osborne means that he will play his England colleague , and Sunningdale foursomes partner, Eliot Baker in the final tomorrow with the winner being crowned the 2026 Spanish Amateur Champion. Best of luck Tom- bring it home !!

After coming through 2 rounds of stroke play and 3 rounds of match play, good luck to Lindrick’s Tom Osborne who plays Tjelle Rieger of Germany in the quarter finals of the Spanish Amateur Championship tomorrow at 8.50am. Keep going Tom !!

A great final Winter pro-am yesterday on the best day of the year so far. So good to see @jigger_thomson back to what he does best, winning with 43pts. He also led the winning team of Martyn Bennett, Dave Branagan and James Hesketh to 87pts. Well done team Jigger !!

Carry: Our 3rd hole, designed by Herbert Fowler in the 1920s, is a short yet challenging par with bunkers guarding three sides. A raised, well-contoured green emphasizes the need for accuracy off the tee, especially with a prevailing breeze.

Another busy week with air2g2, finishing winter projects, spring mowing and getting machines summer ready. 2 weeks until greens week and the team are smashing it !!

Road: The second hole features a raised green surrounded by bunkers, with a challenging back-to-front and right-to-left slope. Added in 2016, the fairway bunker makes accuracy off the tee essential to tackle this tough green.

Gate: Hole 1 at Lindrick presents a demanding tee shot over gorse and bunkers, with the ‘tiger line’ to the left and thick rough and woodland to the right. The large green is receptive but features a subtle left to right slope, adding an extra challenge.

Sunshine, hand mowing and a new toy. Hang in there- spring is coming !!
