15 years ago, when I was a master student, I was wondering if I can have my own CFD code with my own numerics and turbulence model. In our latest paper in JCP, a new CFD solver with our own TENO and WMLES method is proposed:

Since the invention of Time–Accurate and highly–Stable Explicit (TASE) scheme by Maxime Bassenne et al. [JCP, 424 (2021): 109847], it has been popular in solving stiff PDEs and ODEs, we now provide a comprehensive review on the recent developments:

In our latest paper in JFM, we introduced a new temperature transformation for compressible turbulent boundary layers with adiabatic and isothermal walls. The proposed transformation maps the mean temperature profiles to the incompressible reference:

In our new JCP paper collaborated with Prof. Yanglong Lu, a novel physics-informed deep learning framework, called sparse finite-volume informed U-net (SFVnet), is developed to predict compressible flow fields with sparse data under ill-conditions:

Dear all,
Happy new year !!!
This is a warm reminder that our PRFluids journal club seminar will come soon.

In our latest JCP paper, a general smoothed particle-mesh hydrodynamics (SPMH) method is developed for fluid-structure interaction (FSI), particularly for those involving thin structures. SPMH shows higher accuracy than the previous SPH method.

In our new paper on JCP, a generalized synthetic inflow (GSI) turbulence generation method is proposed for divergence-free inlet conditions. The code is open-source from our website:

Tu Youyou discovered a substance called artemisinin, which can be used to treat malaria. Tu not only found a way to extract artemisinin from a traditional Chinese medicine, she also tested the new drug on herself to speed up the time needed for development.
Her discovery led to development of a new drug that has saved the lives of millions of people.
