I really love @Cloudflare and I’ve been fangirling it a lot, but I have to hand it to @vercel for their @aisdk. I’ve been fiddling with Cloudflare's AI Gateway for quite a while and it’s honestly been a pain to get working. Sadly, I’m switching over to the Vercel AI SDK + Gateway instead. It’s way more intuitive and I don’t have to figure out random weird settings or whether the snippet from the dashboard is right, the documentation is right, or if some other page in the same docs is right I’ve struggled a lot with getting BYOK to work with Cloudflare and the whole DX has been an absolute nightmare. Even though CF pushes the OpenAI SDK, it absolutely sucks with provider keys I’m really hoping Cloudflare’s AI Gateway improves and becomes an actual gateway that wraps incoming requests and makes it easier for end users to switch things around instead of fiddling with URLs and random configs. I genuinely want to use CF’s AI Gateway. It fits perfectly with what I’m building, but right now the friction and quirks just make it feel way harder than it should be

Hacked together something much more interesting on the Builder. I used a @Cloudflare agent along with the AI Gateway to take in random sketches of workflows from sites like @excalidraw, @MiroHQ etc. to help automate workflow building. I realized voice/text doesn’t quite hit the spot for describing structure so I decided to test out images instead. My excalidraw is already full of random diagrams (it’s literally my banner) so I figured I’d give it a try! The image gets sent to an agent that uses the existing nodes to come up with something that matches it. It’s not an end to end solution yet, more of an auto fill that auto deploys and executes. Still rough but it actually works just fine. Will be expanding the agent's functionality to support a "plan" mode later to help plan workflows and also proactively provide suggestions

Cloudflare is much more than just a CDN and DDoS protection service. Let’s do a quick comparison of Cloudflare, AWS, and Azure.

WhatsApp owns India! India’s most used business software isn’t chosen - it’s tolerated. Over the past 18 months, I poured lakhs of rupees and time into building automation tools on top of WhatsApp - and failed. That failure opened up something bigger: a look into the tangled web that holds up India’s messaging infrastructure. This is everything good, bad, and quietly dangerous about WhatsApp - and our growing dependence on it. It’s quite a long read. If you’re a VC, founder, or policymaker exploring how deeply WhatsApp runs through India’s digital economy - or how we might build beyond it - I’d love to talk. DM me. (Link below)
