Linguistics is very "imperialist" (in an academic sense). If you write in English, work in a big university in the US/UK, write about English (though not necessarily), publish with big US/UK publishers and you're good - chances are you're gonna be well-known in the field.

2020 had Covid and couldn’t walk for 7 minutes for a year. 2024 I complete my first half marathon in 2:27 minutes. With all the niggles I had I thought I wouldn’t make it to the start line. Unbelievable what the body can do! I felt strong 💪🏼 and I absolutely loved it!!

@kubacki__ What is it with 8 and 9? I also mix them up 🥲

It took me like more than a year to learn them in #Turkish and I still mix 8 with 9, it’s literally hell. Someone once said this is the easiest thing to learn in a language but they were wrong. Numbers are definitely the opposite.

If you feel guilty about not studying enough or not being consistent with your language learning, you can always start over. Get back to studying and learning today, it's going to be worth it.
