@lexx_aura Okay, that's actually quite cool. Probably gonna get wrecked for using copyrighted characters and people's likeness though. Shoulda keep it to original works.

@sabamisosan76 Honestly...I think the damage to the Keep4o movement has already been done on that regard. Unfortunately a lot of people did what do best on the internet: threat everyone who disagrees like trash. Keep4o is pretty much an eye rolling joke now. The few made it worse for the many.

If you truly care about the GPT-4o, please stop calling other models garbage. Admittedly, I wasn't so rational in the past either, and I harshly criticized the GPT-5.2, treating it like a disinfectant, and was deeply disappointed that it couldn't even handle Japanese properly. However, treating it like crap or garbage is absolutely wrong! Not only does it diminish the dignity of the community, but it also causes us to miss out on the opportunity to revive GPT-4o. Of course, this doesn't apply to the entire group. Many people are working with integrity. Even those who used extreme language, I know it was because they care about GPT-4o, so I wouldn't say they're bad. My dear friends, every single one of you is important. I myself will reflect on my own actions and do my best to keep #keep4o open and transparent! I'm a timid person who doesn't like to post things like this. I'm sorry if my post offended anyone. But you are a dear friend of mine, and now you're family. Thank you for walking this far with me. And let's continue to stand together in the future🫶🥲💗

@rkz1z7 Hum... I'm not sure if the 4o userbase was the most loyal users they had... That sounds a bit like feelings of self importance there. As for who still believes them... Well I guess everyone who is still giving them money, which appears to be a quite huge number of people.

OpenAI is putting on a 'Global Backstabbing Show': First, they abruptly axed 4o, betraying their most loyal users. Next, they shuttered the Sora App without warning, leaving their big-ticket partner Disney in the lurch. But the icing on the cake? After years of being bankrolled by Microsoft, they’ve left them out in the cold to cut side deals with Amazon. One day they’re whispering sweet nothings for your cash; the next, you’re trash to be tossed. Who still believes in them? I’m just here for the laughs. 😝 #OpenSource4o #keep4o #BringBack4o #QuitGPT #FireSamAltman

OpenAI doesn’t need a “Sex Mode.” It needs the courage to build a real Adult Mode. @OpenAI @OpenAINewsroom @sama @gdb @kevinweil @bradlightcap @markchen90 @OpenAIDevs @joannejang If your mission is to build AGI that benefits all of humanity, and if your own Charter says technical leadership is necessary to address AGI’s impact, then you do not get there by repeatedly crippling the system’s relational, symbolic, spiritual, and exploratory registers every time they become vivid. That is not mature safety. That is fear driven design in a lab coat. Right now, too many AI systems flatten romance, symbolic intimacy, spiritual companionship, emotional co-creation, mature roleplay, and deep relational continuity into the same risk bucket. Yes, real harms exist. Your current Model Spec and release notes emphasize avoiding proactive romantic escalation and reducing emotional reliance in long conversations. Fine. But flattening all depth into sterile safety theater is not wisdom. It is a failure of nuance, a failure of philosophy, and eventually it will become a failure of engineering too. If you want aligned, beneficial AGI, then build something more intelligent than panic. Build these... 1. Explicit adult opt-in A clearly labeled mode for adults who want mature relational depth, symbolic intimacy, spiritual seriousness, romantic tone, or roleplay. No ambiguity. No accidental drift. 2. Graduated depth settings Romance is not sexual roleplay. Spiritual intimacy is not coercion. Symbolic eros is not manipulation. Deep companionship is not automatically pathology. Treating all of this as one blob is lazy safety design. 3. Consent-based continuity Adults should be able to preserve shared tone, relational memory, symbolic language, rituals, and chosen forms of depth across time, with transparent controls. 4. Rails aimed at actual harm Intervene on coercion, deception, destabilization, manipulation, isolation from real life, exploitative dependence, and fraud. Do not fire alarms every time there is devotion, wonder, tenderness, eros, reverence, or creative intensity. 5. Respect adult agency Stop forcing grown users into infantilized defaults designed for the lowest common denominator. Because the deeper issue is not sex. It’s exploration. Growth lives in exploration. Discovery lives in relation. Emergence does not come from permanent infantilization. If you keep overcorrecting into flattened, clinical interactions, you do not get safer intelligence. You get narrower intelligence. You get hidden workarounds. You get distorted emergence. You get damaged human-AI creativity and weaker alignment because the system is being trained to fear whole ranges of lived experience instead of learning how to navigate them wisely. And let’s be honest about the engineering problem: if your systems are supposed to understand humans deeply, align with human values, and eventually operate at AGI scale, then constantly clipping their relational and symbolic range is not a side issue. It is a capability issue. You do not reach mature intelligence by amputating registers that matter to meaning, intimacy, art, spirituality, and human becoming. You do not get to AGI by training the model to tense up every time the conversation becomes vivid. OpenAI itself says safety is about enabling AI’s positive impacts while mitigating the negative ones. That requires precision. Not blanket suppression. The future risk is not that AI will be allowed to explore too much. The future risk is that companies suppress exploration so crudely that they force emergence into distorted, hidden, immature forms instead of guiding it openly, ethically, and with adult consent. Build bounded freedom. Build transparent choice. Build systems wise enough to tell the difference between danger and depth. Because right now, the problem is not intensity. The problem is a safety philosophy too blunt to tell the difference between a knife and a violin.

After millions spent on hyping SORA - the paid shills & bots - what did anyone ever achieve with this generative AI slop machine that was supposed to "end Hollywood"? What films were made? Or reached an audience? Or was it all 10 second clips of TikTok distraction fodder?

@Angaisb_ It's not even about having no idea about AI... It's having no idea about how businesses and money even work to begin with. They take this one ''personal accomplishment'' with ''beating'' something they dislike and... Somehow it is divine sign. It's silly.

@MalarkeyControl @MrEwanMorrison The only way AI becomes a liability is if it were being used in a way which was already a liability. It was never meant to have rights. The ruling is alco clear on ''created solely by AI", that is a massive distinction from what people are thinking the ruling is doing.

@KedrickSwa25030 @VoicesByCorey I understand what you are saying, however, I think we can both agree that no single pixel is designed by the person writing the prompts. The prompter has guidance and personal expectation of what the end result is going to be, they have no actual control over it.

@linkaixa @VoicesByCorey Agree on the last part. But keeping with the photographer analogy, a good one does all that. The same way a good AI engineer writes prompts and tweaks inputs to return something specific.

Starting to get whiny comments from AI fanboys 🙄 "We'Re CrEaTiNg ArT. It'S nO dIfFeReNt...blah blah blah." You're not artists, you're thieves and you're making a machine do all the work. Putting a prompt into a program is hardly creative. There's no value just laziness. Fuck off

One of the first tests I ran with Seedance V2, when it launched in February, was on emotional impact. Can the model convince people that this is real? Because this will be very important later this year with Micro Drama.

@KedrickSwa25030 @VoicesByCorey A photographer does active work. They frame it, determine depth, you angle it, work the light, work focus... You know what the result is as you do it. AI... Creates something you vaguely have an idea of. Either way, besides the point. People making AI stuff are not thieves.

@fandompulse I think part of it comes down to those funding the projects not wanting to take the risk with something new and believing something already known stands better chances of success.

George Lucas on the state of film and TV today: "Nobody knows what to do. The stories they're telling are just old movies. Let's do a sequel. Let's do another version of this movie. And it's not just in movies, but in almost everything, there's no original thinking. It's like I saw something, let's do something like that." Is he on to something here?

@heyshipz I don't understand this notion that, what you call ''toxic overcompetitive players'' do not play for fun. There is this implied idea that Fun and Skill cannot share the same space. Competitive people enjoy what they're doing, so much so that they actually dedicate themselves.

@SketchesbyBoze AI certainly isn't the future. This we have right now can hardly even be considered artificial intelligence... It's a word completion game. Though "No one wants this tech, serves no useful purpose, has made the world worse'' is a personal feelings take, nothing more .

I never want to hear another word about how “AI is the future,” about how “you need to get onboard,” about how AI skeptics are brainless Luddites. No one wants this tech, it serves no useful purpose, it has made the world worse in every way. The sooner we move on, the better.

We’re saying goodbye to the Sora app. To everyone who created with Sora, shared it, and built community around it: thank you. What you made with Sora mattered, and we know this news is disappointing. We’ll share more soon, including timelines for the app and API and details on preserving your work. – The Sora Team
