They're terrified.
Here Liam Bartlett gives a very thinly veiled threat that everyone will go looking for dirt on her, then dishes just that - a line from her first ex-husband.
How long before they do what they did to Nigel Farage and find mean words he said as a schoolkid.
katy 🌸@KatyKray73
This is gutter journalism at best. Liam Bartlett really sank low here. “Your first husband came out a few weeks ago and called you the most dishonest person he’s ever known.” No one cares what Pauline’s ex-husband, a man with zero credibility, has to say. Pure barrel-scraping.

@PepeofOz We've known about it for several years. Alexander Downer is a goner.

@TrixTur11 When they changed the police uniform from light blue to black, we knew that this and worse is was coming our way.

Can anyone argue against my idea that we need all govt expenditure at all levels, council, state, federal, on a public register, accessible to all? ASIO and sensitive defence stuff not itemised but the rest, completely itemised. The technology is available. Bring it all into the light. And make it real time. As it’s spent it goes on the register. We see what every dollar is used on. Will cut corruption immediately by ninety percent. Also we will see who is getting over paid. They hide it because they know it’s wrong. Let everyone walk in the light.

@OneNewsAu The Ministry of Truth is here.
And we are paying for it.

🟠 #BREAKING: LABOR IS QUIETLY PAYING JOURNALIST WAGES AT 184 NEWSROOMS 🟠
Anika Wells' $67.6 million Journalism Assistance Fund is part paying the wages of more than 2,000 journalists, and more than half the money went to just four ownership groups.
Nine took $16.1 million. Seven's side of the new Southern Cross group took $11.3 million. Crikey, The Conversation, The Saturday Paper and Mamamia are all there.
News Corp, Sky News and The Guardian were barred from even applying. Opinion writing doesn't count as news under the government's own rules. And no funded newsroom ever has to tell its readers.
The fund ran dry in 28 days. One recipient was two days old. Another collapsed five weeks later.
We've published the full table: all 184 recipients, every company, every owner, every dollar and their share of the fund:

@blucat2 @Bergermeister23 Increased sample collections = increased % of positive specimens?
English

@linuxmintie @Bergermeister23 This is a good one. I knew it disappeared from 2020 but what caused the spike just before? Was covid a new strain of flu?
English

@TSHamiltonAstro Although I agree, it would increase readability to just have people using punctuation again!

Your periodic reminder that extra space between sentences has been the standard in English language typography for hundreds of years, pre-dating the typewriter. It’s there because it makes the text easier to read.
Thrilla Does Stuff@ThrillDoesStuff
Just a friendly reminder to my friends older than 42: You don’t have to put 2 spaces after the period anymore. That was for the typewriter era. You're free

I think it’s great that @DHughesy is speaking out about the retardation in Australia right now, but he did promote the vaccine during COVID by getting it live on air.
What do we think, retard or not?

@BobBurn97207272 Victoria is not the pothole state, it's the shithole state.
English

Jacinta Allan was asked how comfortable she was with Victoria being called the “pothole state”. She acknowledged the government had “more to do” and pointed to $3 billion in road funding over three years. The interview then moved to a basic question: when did she last drive over a pothole?
Allan said she travelled on the road network regularly, had been in her electorate over the weekend and had seen maintenance crews working. Asked again when she last drove over a pothole, she said it would have been over the weekend. The interviewer then asked what happened, whether she was driving when she hit it and whether it damaged her car. Allan would not provide those details. She instead repeatedly described herself as a regional person, a regional member of Parliament and a regional Premier who experiences what regional families and communities experience every day.
The question was not about whether Allan uses Victorian roads. It was whether the pothole she claimed to have driven over damaged her car. Despite being asked directly several times, she never answered.
Victorian Labor has governed since December 2014. Allan has served throughout that entire period and spent years holding responsibility for public transport, roads, transport infrastructure and the delivery of major projects. More than a decade later, the Premier is acknowledging that substantially more work is required, defending another multibillion-dollar funding commitment and refusing to explain what happened when she supposedly encountered the same road conditions confronting Victorian motorists.
Labor has had more than 10 years to maintain Victoria’s roads. The road network deteriorated under its administration, Victoria acquired the “pothole state” label, and the Premier’s response to a direct question about her own experience was a sequence of prepared statements that never answered it

@hothingsgirlsay Corporations and politicians have used this technique for so damn long. And then we had political correctness forced onto us in the 80s. Down hill from there...

🚨 HOLY CRAP! President Trump just MIC DROPPED a reporter at the White House
Q: How is it taking care of the Iranian people if you're bombing?
TRUMP: Yeah, who are you with?
REPORTER: PBS.
TRUMP: "Well, that's a radical left group of lunatics if you will. Let me just tell you, let me just tell you. The Iranian people, when they DON'T hear bombs go off, they're UPSET!"
"They want to hear bombs because they want to be free."
"And the only reason they're not out protesting, you know that, is because they were informed that if they protest, like the wrestler and his friends, if they protest they will be shot immediately!"
English

@MRobertsQLD Some of that has probably gone into a follow up on the lesbian surfers study they did some decades ago. 🙄🙄

I seemed to have upset my colleagues when I questioned why more than half a million dollars was being spent on a grant exploring “Indigenous connections to outer space” and whether Aboriginal people “cared for other plants.”
How do such projects help Australians who are living in tents, skipping meals, or struggling to pay rent?
While people are hurting, the Labor government is spending $1 billion a year on grants like this.
Taxpayers deserve to know why.
