@Creseki Interesting indeed. I don't think I have seen this one.

@BitcOnlys @animathias I had the same reaction, ha. Will have to add this one to the backlog list.
English

@animathias Wow, I've never played that game. I think it's a great time to start.

Flintstones: The Treasure of Sierra Madrock is pretty awesome. As a kid, this was a game I could play forever.
The board game-like world map helps with that a ton, since the random rolls, splitting paths, and events cause chaos.
Playing solo, you control both Fred and Barney. You can either split them up to explore or spearhead towards the treasure.
The real fun is when Player 2 joins in and you two race for who becomes the Grand Poobah.
The gameplay is fun and frantic. The stages are short and the time limit reflects it. It's not suffocating, though, it just keeps moving you forward at that manic Hanna-Barbara pace.
There's some real challenge, but nothing really too frustrating. It controls incredibly well and they design some interesting stages with that in mind.
I also have to mention the fun soundtrack and the impressive spritework. The animations are on point to the cartoon roots. Might be my favorite ducking sprites in gaming. #RetroGaming

@oldyzach These games had crazy large maps, but they were very cool and detailed. Also rather difficult as most Lucas Arts games were.
English

@PixelCNinja I recently played this one. The overworld map is a little smaller but a lot of stuff has been moved around. We had fun playing through it.

@SandyofCthulhu @oldyzach You can definitely see the similarities. Age of Empires, Star Wars edition basically.
English

@oldyzach Yay I helped approve and test this game when I was at Ensemble Studios. It licenses the same engine and a LOT of the same programming we had in Age of Empires and we were all proud to see it.

Did you know Korea sells “one-a-day” banana packs?
Instead of every banana ripening at once, each one is at a different stage.
One is ready today.
The next one is ready tomorrow.
The last one is still spiritually in college, “experimenting.”
Simple. Genius. Solves the entire banana problem.
What do you think?
Would you prefer your bananas this way?

@PixelCNinja I can.
And with the mod that lets you use the Mega CD version’s soundtrack, it’s the best shmup in the universe.

@kryfton Yes, it did have a very good animation to be so old. It is better than A Link to the Past's square animation look.

@GamewithDave Poor localization choices made Whomp 'Em understandably forgotten. What a fun game though.

Mega Man 7 has a famous easter egg that I knew about even back in the day. I'm pretty sure it was from the SNES cheat book I found at Barnes & Noble.
That being said, I had never played Ghost & Goblins at the time, so I could never appreciate it.
Shade Man's theme is so banger that it always felt weird to change it. I definitely love it more as an adult having seen Arthur and his quest.
Hold B as you press Start to choose Shade Man and the stage theme turns to the Super Ghosts & Goblins music. #RetroGaming

@animathias For sure. I wonder if due to the success of FF VII, they decided to mix it up the mechanics a little.

@animathias Good game with a great story. The junction system takes some getting used to but it is cool after learning. The focus on the summons is interesting.

Good morning everyone.
Final Fantasy 8 is my favorite game. Revisiting it as an adult has been absolutely wonderful.
It's interesting how misunderstood Squall and the story still is, considering seeing past the walls we put up is one of the main messages in the game #FinalFantasy

@oldyzach That must have been a lot of work for the students. Very nice job.
