Good grief - pray for Christian Syria

Jesus: "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have trouble. But take heart; I have overcome the world." -John 16:33

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His faithful love endures forever. Who can list the glorious miracles of the Lord? Who can praise him half enough? Psalm 106: 1, 2 Believe that He is good always

We may not get all of the answers we want to our “why” questions. But we can ask God to help us catch glimpses of His faithfulness in the midst of our pain and confusion. We can hear His whispers of, "No matter what, I've got this. I've got you. And I'll hold on to you forever."

For everyone who has put their faith in Christ, it will be a great reunion one day in the future. But what does the unbeliever have to look forward to? Judgment after death and a miserable, empty life on earth. There might be some fun in sin—for a while. But payday comes. Truth isn’t just a concept. Truth is a person. Jesus says, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life.” (John 14:6 ESV) He is 𝙩𝙝𝙚 Truth. He is our constant, perfect, unchanging source of Truth. When we don’t know to turn, or what to do, we’re reminded to seek Him. To seek His Truth. To chase His Truth. To try to walk as He walked, because He is the ultimate source of Truth.

You were created to know God. Nothing this culture or world offers will ever fill that deep void in your heart. As Jesus said to the woman at the well, "If you drink of this water, you will thirst again." In the sixties, people tried to fill it with drugs, sex, and rock 'n' roll. Today, it's technology, social media — and some are even attempting to build a relationship with AI. But it's all the same search. Every generation is reaching for something more, something real, something eternal. That something is actually a someone. It’s God. Jesus is the one you've been looking for all along.
