[Minor Half Life 3 spoiler] New HLX strings from March 2022 were just now datamined in Desk Job: Half Life 3 will likely have chirping spider-like creatures with babies, known as "Harvestman", named after a real insect. Also, Hunters from Ep2 might return? 🧵

A deleted file recovered from the tech demo for Steam Deck called Aperture Desk Job (2022) revealed two new NPCs that might be featured in HLX: "npc_hunter" and "npc_harvestman_flesh". They were never mentioned in Half-Life: Alyx.

This was found by @dirtkiller23 just now. The reason it hadn't been found until now was because Valve tried to delete the file from the VPK, but didn't properly erase the data and it was able to be recovered.

@7_minute_ i'm scared of this too though it's not actually tampering with fl, it's recreating the piano roll from scratch, just worried about the similar design (it'll have a different theme when it releases)

@clickbatedubs i kept two useful features from abletons piano roll, range selection and ctrl grid shortcuts

@litexev piano roll in ableton is faster and more inutive to use than fls, it was rough for like a month when i switched but now im like 4-5x faster than would be possible in fl
