Leak? No sprinkler head there, but a patch of longer, greener grass. Still doing proactive monitoring from my IT days. What say you?

@TechOperator I miss the halcyon days of Fry’s Electronics. I lived in the ultimate centroid of four Fry’s stores within a 12 mile radius. It was epic.

@TechOperator I don't want one because I hear I need to charge it. That's way too inconvient. I'll wait for the model that runs on alcohol or lighter fluid.

Visiting my dad, who has succumbed to the iPhone Air after telling me his 17 Pro was better. 🤣

Occasionally, I get DMs asking how I like my iPhone Air. After several months, my opinion remains similar to what I posted a few days after switching from my Pro 16. The verdict? It's a keeper! What I love: - The screen size. It's perfect between the regular Pro and Max. Pocketable and comfortable for one-handed use while maximizing screen space. - It's light! It has a larger screen but the same weight as my previous phone. - It's super sleek. I love the slim frame and reasonably sized camera bump, especially compared to a Pro. - Because of that slim bump, the phone does not get nearly as hot as Pro models when using the Tesla console charger. Others complain about: - The speaker. Seriously? Who uses phone speakers? I'm not a boomer or child, no offense. Two drawbacks that should not surprise anyone: - Battery life is just OK, so I purchased the sleek Apple MagSafe battery for when I travel or use it heavily. When equipped, the phone has similar battery life and weight to a Pro 17 model. When I don’t need it, which is most of the time, I enjoy a gloriously thin and light phone. - The single-lens camera. While I would prefer more lenses, I can live without them as a tradeoff. All I do is take pictures of my Tesla and dogs, so "zooming" is just getting closer. I’ve started carrying a GoPro when producing content. It nicely fills the gap left by the iPhone's lack of a wide-angle lens. Plus, I get stabilized video and the ability to show my phone as I demonstrate Robotaxy, etc. In summary, I have no desire to go back to my iPhone 16 or swap for a 17 Pro. However, due to your personal preferences or needs, it may not be for everyone!

@BasedMikeLee It’s already too late. Even without the filibuster we don’t have 51 honest conservative votes in the Senate to do anything useful. We are betrayed by faux GOP senators who are avid anti-Trumpers and don’t have a conservative bone in their useless bodies.

@TheBrancaShow I’m sure it’s Cosmology, Nuclear Physics, or Electrical Engineering. (I was always amazed that Brian Mays, guitarist for Queen, finished his Doctorate in Cosmology.)

@BasedMikeLee @Rothbard1776 Nope. Creation of the Federal Reserve in 1913. It started the slow motion destruction of the US economy and unleashed infinite federal spending and control over every tiny aspect of our lives.

I have a modular synth and there are so many variables that most of my patches once altered the smallest amount are lost forever. I've turned off for the night and come back the next morning without having touched anything and it is just different in the most subtle ways. Even my first synth, a Korg770, is very unstable and impossible to reset the same way. Analog circuitry is sensitive to atmospheric differences in moisture and heat. I consider the ephemeral quality of these kinds of machines to be part of the charm.

Polyfusion, a modular synth used by the rock group Toto. Analog synths are black magic in many ways, legendary for the amazing sounds they produce only once. Change ANYTHIING in that maze of knobs and cords just once, and you'll never be able to capture that exact sound again.

@TheBrancaShow Yeah summer riding here in the Hill Country of Texas can be pretty brutal too. Over 100º and it’s NOT “a dry heat.”
