And I’ve found the reception to the new Peaky Blinders movie as mixed. Yet recent interviews & comments on Flemming inspire hope. Idk anymore lol 😂

@NRamsell @alblex007 I can see that but disagree a bit - LTK has him acting as quite the motivated killer vs reluctant imo. I like to think he quite enjoyed killing the guy who did Sharky in. But it’s also not a normal MI6 gig so not apples vs oranges.

Craig’s Bond had swagger and (often misplaced) self confidence that turned into world weary fatigue. But he quite liked being a killer. Dalton’s Bond hated it. He did the job almost reluctantly.

Sean is the OG, Roger is my dad’s Bond, Pierce is my Bond…
But Dalton will always be the “ahead of his time” Bond to me. In only 2 films, he brought true lethality back to the character. You don’t have Craig’s portrayal if not for Dalton’s run.

@alblex007 Agreed. After 2 years of COVID, many yearned for the “feel good” Bond ending. What we got I thought was so much more valuable. An honest bow from the stage from the Broccoli family with the message “Life is short & precious, use your time.” That’s as Bond as it gets.

@liveandletryan Same. I know I would've loved the movie anyway, but at the point in time it finally came out it resonated with me on a personal level that it wouldn't have had it released sooner.

I loved NTTD as a conclusion to Craig's Bond as much as I loved it as a conclusion to EONs Bond.
The line “I'm going to tell you a story about a man. His name is Bond, James Bond.” is the perfect line to mark the end to such a marvelous legacy.

I think he easily deserved a 5th outing however I'm content with the EON video game being his final outing.
Despite its flaws, I actually find watching it a guilty pleasure of mine. The Aston vs the Jag scene alone is enough to revisit it.
