@vickysmith @SophieBenson_ @ZipYardUK Other options are there there are some next gen taking post consumer & making cellulosic materials .. some need cotton /poly . Some take different fibers. I’m not sure how they get their feed stock yet & would think uneconomical on a one to one customer level.

@vickysmith @SophieBenson_ @ZipYardUK Your best bet would be a cool upcycler . I’m working on projects more for mass upcycling of inter industry wastes . So unless we have a uniform style of waste this kind of upcycling one on one is not economical for the maker . I don’t know many that are killing it .. cont

@vickysmith @SophieBenson_ @ZipYardUK there’s a possibility to compost it - however I can assume it has dyes on it - so it will be potentially toxi .. John Parkinson up in Sheffield can re-process 100% wool or cashmere knitted items from post consumer .. however not cost effective for him to pick up random items

Given it hasn’t been designed for deconstruction or remanufacture .. or even composting - it always has a degenerative path ., you have done the best using it for as long as you can . The next use is some kind of upcycling to design something else ..
