Potential driving factors for bringing Craig Berube back? - Cost of firing him - Full-blown indictment on roster construction - Full-blown indictment of available coaches - Strong endorsement from Auston Matthews + team leaders - "Saving your bullet" mentality - Uncommon grace out of respect for Berube I don't know that we should find any of these factors acceptable. Most of them are a stretch. The only valid reason for bringing Craig Berube back should be that you believe he gives you the best chance to win and you have a strong basis for that argument. If there's a case to be made for that, I'd love for someone to make it. Genuinely, I really like Berube.
