Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe does not owe the government gratitude. The government owes Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe an explanation for what took it so long.

A man actually rang into @LBC today to moan "it just would've been nice of Nazanin to say thank you." The international-hostage equivalent of 'you'd be pretty if you smile more.'

Nazanin has expressed gratitude at being able to come home, but some people seem to think she should keep quiet about a government that refused to pay a debt that would have secured her release 6 years ago and a Prime Minister whose actions lengthened her ordeal. It's ridiculous.
