Wow, thank you for all your support for our new Centre for Education and Research with our friends over at @MyBCU – we’re so excited to update you about our research projects over the coming months. In the meantime, our Ambassador and former colleague, Liz Duncan explains just why our commitment to more research into deafblindness is so important. P.S. Let us know in the comments why research like this is so important and what it means to you. 💜💬 #DBUKresearchBCU #BCU #DeafblindUK

Oh, and by the way, to all the Westminster experts who commented on last night’s event but weren’t there: Our North West region rivals anywhere in the world for our musical culture. We need politicians that celebrate this - not hide away from it. Is that understood? Thanks. 🙏🏻

Instead of National Insurance hikes for millions of people, we could raise the same amount of money with a 1.5% tax on any wealth over £5 million. Remember that when the Tories say there is no alternative!

Rishi Sunak, a multi-millionaire married to the daughter of a billionaire, will stand and tell us tomorrow that he "understands" our financial struggles.

‘Never, since the office was created has a Prime Minister sunk so low’ He’s talking about @BorisJohnson as if you didn’t know. Letter in the Times.

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe does not owe the government gratitude. The government owes Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe an explanation for what took it so long.

A man actually rang into @LBC today to moan "it just would've been nice of Nazanin to say thank you." The international-hostage equivalent of 'you'd be pretty if you smile more.'

Nazanin has expressed gratitude at being able to come home, but some people seem to think she should keep quiet about a government that refused to pay a debt that would have secured her release 6 years ago and a Prime Minister whose actions lengthened her ordeal. It's ridiculous.

Final #RotmanConf plenary session kicking off w Kathy Pichora-Fuller's Keynote: Sensory capacity and functioning in integrated care for older people. Hearing and vision loss are common with aging and impact cognitive function; must address issues earlier to help people age well.
