I didn’t fully understand what David meant in Psalm 27 when he wrote, “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living,” until I walked through a season where seeing it felt almost impossible.
He wasn’t writing from a place of comfort. David wrote that amid enemies surrounding him, uncertainty, and a season where everything felt like it was working against him.
Yet he made a declaration not a wish or a prayer request, but a confident declaration that he would see God’s goodness in this life, not just eventually, but here.
I think of that for every woman in a hard season right now, wondering if things will ever turn around or if the goodness is real for others but not for her.
It is for you. The goodness is real and coming into your actual life not just your faith life into your relationships, health, finances, peace, and the areas where you’ve waited longest.
Stay confident, not because you can see it yet, but because He said it. And what He says doesn’t return void. 🤍

@naivas_kenya Your delivery service is honestly terrible. Each time i've used it, the order is incomplete or has issues. You also insist on refunding money on the naivas wallet not Mpesa. This locks funds to the very online platform that couldn't deliver what's needed.Poorly done!

Tried to skip the queues with this. Multiple items on my order are unavailable in store despite availability on the app. And now to wait for an ambiguous refund process that took over a week the last time this happened. Why @naivas_kenya ?

Henry VIII pursued Anne Boleyn for nearly seven years. He wrote her passionate letters, refused to abandon the pursuit, and ultimately challenged the authority of the Roman Catholic Church when he could not obtain permission to marry her. The conflict led to the English Reformation, permanently changing the religious and political structure of England. From the outside, it looked like the ultimate story of devotion. A king defying a church. A man refusing to give up the woman he wanted. But only three years after their marriage, Anne Boleyn was arrested, accused of treason and adultery, and executed in 1536.
History often reminds us of something uncomfortable:
Obsession and persistence are not the same thing as love. Psychology research shows that intense pursuit behaviors can sometimes be driven not by emotional connection, but by ego, power, or the desire to possess what feels unattainable. In fact, relationship studies have found that early extreme intensity can sometimes predict controlling or unstable dynamics later in a relationship. Many women are raised on stories that frame relentless pursuit as romantic. But intensity alone is not proof of care. Sometimes it is only proof of desire to win. Real love tends to look different. It is consistent. It is calm. And it does not disappear once the chase is over.
