@British_Airways very poor travel experience with you recently. A piece of luggage that didn't make it onto my London-Cairo flight & has now not been delivered to me at my Cairo address just the latest in a stream of issues. So disappointing. Please find my missing bag at least.

Canada has now imposed travel bans on a total of 10 countries. All 10 countries are African.
There are 15 countries outside Africa that have reported a total of 68 cases of the new Omicron variant. None of these 15 countries have been subjected to travel restrictions by Canada.

I suggest you ask yourself better questions:
. Why are refugees fleeing?
. Why can't they find regular routes?
. Why asylum-seekers left in limbo by the system?
. Why use individual stories of hatred to stigmatise majority?
. Why is UK not taking its share of refugees?

@DrWaheedArian Point well made but what about the illegal migrant who had been rejected by the system then decided he would blow himself up at a Liverpool Hospital ?, there are many good news stories but there are so many tragedies. The question is why are these people so intent on the UK ?

For ages, the Daily Mail has cashed in promoting hateful incitement against migrants and now even they are forced to admit the obvious, Britain needs more migrants not less. Indeed, this is true of virtually all of Europe and most wealthy countries in general.

@eldahshan Oh I definitely don't think he's making anything up. I read what he was saying as a complaint that the extra time and energy he & others have had to put into Farthing's case has diverted attention away from other extraction efforts. Which I think is definitely a fair complaint.

@eldahshan The amount of attention this story is attracting doesn't sit very well with me either, given the sheer scale of human need and suffering. But I don't think Farthing is advocating for cats & dogs to take the spots of Afghans on evacuation planes (unless I missed something).
