Bridges are blocking it, exchanges are blocking it, if we were already spending crypto as money at point of sale (daily groceries, stores, this and that) they would probably block it too... I obviously don't want this hacker to get away with it, or to promote this activity to others through their success, but this does lead to the question. How free are we? How self soverign are we with our crypto? If the powers that be decide you are not worthy of spending your crypto, they can stop you... Who makes these decisions in the future? Will privacy tech fix this, or have we given up too much control already?

All true but there would still be a way to do this at a much smaller scale, thousands of transactions over a long ass period without controlling anything. You are not getting a 1/1 return that’s for sure. I feel like we are entering ‘no electricity, no magic internet money’ type of scenario with the forking but sure, anything can happen! Best bet would probably be to just make a deal to return the funds for X% and be done with it lol

yes, I actually thought about this, it would require another wallet to control a majority of the supply in a coin, and dump it to at all realize any gains, which would then be trackable with nansen, funding, and bubble map protocols. Sadly, the size of the token you would need to realize the gains from the injected pump at any sort of scale would make this easily trackable. Also the idea that no one can take the funds from you goes out the window when people talk about "rolling back the chain" (forking)
