As someone who truly loves the Azuki IP and uses it in personal projects and plans to build more - for me, it’s incredible news that without my efforts, the company is doing everything to bring Azuki to the masses. Yesterday’s speech by Zagabond was very inspiring to me. I saw a person who is honest with himself, actively working on the project, clearly aware of and able to leverage his strengths, and conscious of the obstacles that may arise. A person who doesn’t rely on others to support him, but builds a sustainable platform for growth for everyone, finds partners with sustainable businesses, and develops in unconventional yet profitable directions - that’s not an easy decision to make when coming from such a “fun and easy” space like Web3 and crypto. Pokemon should never ever do serialized cards but I do think they should consider making every card in the set have a percentage chance to be a shiny variant of the exact same art. For commons through rares they can use the reverse holo spot. Imagine if 0.01% of SIRs were shiny. Azuki started with art. The Azuki TCG continues that. Characters that began as PFPs are coming to life through the cards, and the gameplay pulls you deeper into the lore and world. Set 1 is going into production and it's all becoming very real. Manga adds the storytelling layer and emotional connection with fans. The story will develop at the pace fans actually want. And on the tech side, we're doing R&D on PBT. Imagine tapping a physical card with your phone to verify it's authentic (& much more). It's a longer term play, but there are real problems in collectibles that only technology can solve. Every day that passes, I get more bullish on this strategy. Core to Azuki has always been three things: art, storytelling, and technology. Now we get to go deeper on all three with way more focus. TCG → manga → anime. The path is clear.
