@deeppaann Surely the timing could’ve been better.
Having it so close to the AFF/ASEAN championship unnecessarily undermines a tournament which has been of such significance to the region, unless that is the intention…
@lmsb99@deeppaann Honestly, I think you'd do much better investing the foreign signing money into two or three quality players and leaving the rest of the slots unused.
Talipov, Malumandsoko, and friends last season were by far the worst foreign contingent I've ever seen in the league, sadly.
🇯🇵Masatada Ishii’s tenure at 🇹🇭BG Pathum United ends abruptly after a Shopee Cup exits.
For the 🇸🇬Ikhsan Fandi, another reset at the Rabbits? Will he get the time under new coach?

Finally off the ball, United are a mess in that midfield region. Ten Hag due to lack of control, means United are always susceptible to being countered and he has no positional CDMs … but neither do Liverpool in truth but their unit (mid/defence) is better at containing the space that their midfields needs to cover. So it means less space in which to get exposed.
Ten Hag’s #MUFC tenure vs Arne Slot brief #LFC reign is a wonderful study in the importance of good coaching.
Failure to sign Zubimendi - was easy for Liverpool’s build up to take a hit and for them to lose ‘control’.
Instead Slot coaches his way out of it.
A THREAD 🧵
@slbsn Good stuff mate, loving the analysis you’re putting out. Just a question: What kind of potential penalties are they looking at if there’s breach?
Why would Clearlake/Boehly decide to breach PL P&S and UEFA rules? Because to comply would massively slow down the club. From a business perspective, it can be justified as a cost of doing business and a rounding error
@TheKopHQ Agreed, FSG has helped to move the club forward in many ways but this as far they can take us. Can’t help but feel like the failure of UEFA in reining in blatant spending against the spirit of the FFP played its part in this distorted transfer landscape as well.
Achieved a lot under FSG. Won every trophy possible. Redeveloped Anfield & built a new training complex. But the reality now is that the landscape of Football has completely changed financially & the FSG ownership is unsustainable anymore. Need a full sale not minority stake sale
Whilst I doubt a hashtag on social media will register much with John Henry & co. Even the most defensive & loyal FSG fans must surely feel a bit let down now. Record revenue, yet neglected a struggling squad in dire need of a rebuild. Very disappointing 😔
