I know you are talking to Durango, but my whole purpose in my original post was to say that despite the recent attempts to paint cannabis has harmless, paint as helpful even, we must tell the truth. It is NOT harmless, it is very dangerous. Especially to the predisposed. People who defend it without also acknowledging the scientific and academic studies could be causing great harm to others. And they should stop. They have been allowed to promote cannabis without pushback for too long. It’s not safe, smoke if you must but be responsible in promoting it to others. Tell the whole truth. Be a decent human being. Therefore I am so grateful for you 4th degree, and your comments here. Love and prayers for your niece. I’m so sorry.

American businesses can employee whomever they wish. The NBA is a business. They can trade anyone for whatever reason. The American government, unlike privately owned businesses, cannot discriminate against Christians. If the government traded him, they could be sued and he would likely win. However, the public, many of whom are Christian, can punish a business that they see as being unfair. The Chicago Bulls will suffer for this most likely. They will be boycotted. We will see if they will receive a backlash strong enough to make the apologize. Ivey wasn’t banned. He was traded to another team. Sounds like a blessing for him. And don’t mute anything you post. Be strong don’t let the meanies silence you.

Don’t kill me for this one because I’m not religious & essentially oppose it as a thing, but… If America is a Christian country, how is Ivey being banned etc for being anti LGBT when those are Christian views?

From just reading your comments here on X I can see you are super smart, energetic and a good person. They will be lucky to get you. It’s difficult to get back into the game. It’s a young persons game. But if anyone can, you can. But it may not be meant to be, but don’t let it ever hurt your confidence. Durango. Looks like you have been lucky enough to outlive the cannabis roulette. (See my longer reply to the dude who said it was rare but happens.) You probably don’t have the hereditary predisposition to schizophrenia or bi-polar disorders. Happy for you! But why on earth would you want to pretend to others that cannabis is without danger? Smoke away but don’t defend something you clearly know very little about academically or scientifically. And if you have children, do not allow them to think it’s okay to smoke pot, for your own sake.

Thank you, she was rescued by her parents in time, it was at Lake Powell. But the entire family has been devastated. What was their beautiful bright younger brother whom they dearly loved is all but gone. He is now severally mentally ill. The financial drain and emotional drain on his parents and siblings has been brutal. Also thank you for commenting. Rather brave of you. Pot smokers are vicious when they defend pot smoking. 😳

Yikes, I’m so sorry. It’s not rare enough that I would want anyone I know or care about ever trying cannabis. Forgive me for perhaps droning on here but, my husband has his doctorate in Pharmacy and there are very real academic studies, that have been trying to warn people about cannabis and THC, for decades now. It isn’t rare for those who have a hereditary disposition towards schizophrenia and bipolar disorders. If you have that predisposition you must not use cannabis as your likelihood of getting a severe mental illness is quite marked. How do you know if you have the hereditary disposition? You don’t. So don’t use it. It’s so frustrating as there has been an ongoing movement to legalize cannabis and pretend it isn’t dangerous. It is dangerous and there is no one more devoted to defending smoking pot than a pot smoker. I have been viciously attacked for trying to warn people here on X. But to me it is worth it to try and educate people just a little. Just don’t use it. The misery it can cause, to the smoker and all those who love the smoker is incalculable.
