Almost mid day on a Sunday and there’s almost a 7k player difference. Reminder that Marathon is a mostly PC game while Destiny 2 has a massive console base. Bungie/ Sony made a huge mistake.

@HARDHEAD7WD Concurrently through out the content drought there was on average 150,000 playing across platforms. If you mean 100k on steam sure that would help but around 45% of the player base is PlayStation. In reality I think is something closer to half a mil to make it continue to live

@lntelicom The fact you think marathon killed Destiny is laughable. Yeah they diverted resources at times but truly what killed Destiny was the Bungie C-suite and Pete. The asinine decisions they made over the years was its downfall.

Yall, they aren't getting rid of Destiny. They are moving on from D2 which is NEEDED! D2 is currently a bundle of tech debt that is seen to be increasingly difficult to work with. they are absIlutely going to make a new Destiny experience. is it going to be D3, or even a continuation of the current story? Idk, but any new type of Destiny experience needs to bring back the vibes and mystery D1 gave us. Maybe we'll be in a new system outside Sol. That's the dream I hear Tau Ceti's nice this time of year.
