Started as a Clav hater but then I looked into it a bit and I feel like I get it now. Listened to two hour-long interviews last night as I drove through Wyoming, the first one was with Adam Friedland, who sucks so much I almost turned it off, and the second one was some big super-produced youtuber on “Channel 5” - who mocked young Braden for not knowing that he was just a youtube channel and not a “real” Channel 5 news station. You’re all the same anyways, who gives a shit. Both interviewers go right into: "So you were young during COVID? Wow that must’ve sucked! That must be why you’re such a weird antisocial freak right? That must be why you can’t just have a hecking good time with the bros kick back and watch the game right? So what age exactly did you fall into these ‘forums?’ What was your childhood like? What’s wrong with you? Why won’t you conform? Why are you like this? Will you come watch a movie with me and the bros after? Come on dude, bro, dude, bro..." Adam Friedland is a frog groveling at the feet of a prince. I really hate to say it, I hate to be a Fan of anybody else on this zero-sum earth, but Clav is generally right. Most people will see the most outsized rewards from becoming more physically attractive. The world will socialize you by force. If you start with the social skills, you’re pushing a boulder uphill. You’ll learn ugly-guy social skills, you’ll grovel, you’ll be Adam fucking Friedland. Starting out good looking means people are nice to you, which causes you to be nice to them, a positive feedback loop, you look forward to seeing others, to be social, to go outside, to live while you’re alive… to be unashamed, I could have used this shit when I was 14.

Top options: a glowing circle (like Siri or HAL 9000) or an uncanny humanoid robot.
