@vxunderground Dotcom era was like this. Everyone kept talking about how the internet was going to be this thing that radically changed the entire world. In the end: - some things changed radically - some things stayed exactly the same

I am so incredibly tired of hearing about AI Everytime I look up anything cybersecurity related it's all a big ass fuck off circus discussing AI It's not even like, an explanation on AI, or some sort of deep dive, or nuanced perspective. It's all superficial and more akin to a sales pitch than an actual discussion topic. O gracious Lord, if Thou hearest me, pray let this great uproar be stilled.

One thing that really bugs me about modern gaming is the constant push toward mandatory logins and "always-online" requirements - even for single-player games. In the past, buying a game was simple: you handed over your money and got the game. No account required. Now, even to purchase or download a single-player game, you're forced to create an account. They want your name, location, email, and credit card details. Then, after downloading and installing it, you still have to log in and be online just to play. Why? It's about constant tracking and analysis of every step you take - to optimize monetization, squeeze every last bit of value out of you, and collect data they can use for cross-selling, profiling, or whatever else they come up with. I understand requiring a login/online for multiplayer games. But why for single-player games? It's completely insane but has slowly been turned into "normality".

@Osint613 That should be $200, not $1,500. No one makes $1,500 per month in Iran unless you are getting paid from the government or work for overseas companies and get paid in dollar.

We are approaching day 8 of the U.S. naval blockade on Iran. Estimated losses stand at roughly $435M per day, putting total damage near $3.4B so far. At that pace, once this stretches into double digits around the 14 day mark, the pressure starts compounding and it won’t be easy for the IRGC to absorb. For context, a family of 4 in Tehran can live reasonably on about $1,500 per month. Everything paid.
