Pearl Harbor wasn't shit. people just made a huge thing out of it because it changed the public notion that the US were an untouchable global power calling Pearl Harbor a Holocaust is like calling Hiroshima a firecracker

As a kid at a field trip to a nearby community center, I saw Buddhist monks making a sand mandala. The teacher explained they'd be destroying it as soon as they finished, to signify that all things are impermanent. I thought that was so stupid. I hated them, it made me so angry
