Update on the kiddos first full night of free rein cohabitation. No messes, no destruction, no evidence of shenanigans or scuffles. I’m pretty sure it was a success. Spike came to meet me at the door and I heard Dandy jump off the bed to come shortly after him.

@realgirl_fieri I had a coworker who covered for me on maternity leave (he never complained) A LOT and then later I covered for him when he had a routine surgery that had complications and a 6 week recovery. It's almost like human beings aren't built to be corporate machinery?

@BabsVan We lost our rescue corgidor to epilepsy after 1 year and thousand of $$, and that week I said "I'll just fill out this form" at a rescue that saves pregnant dogs. Well, that weekend we had Mal and zero regrets.

So it turns out it's impossible for me to stop accidentally referring to the pediatrician as "the vet."
