The best thing about @PreetiChoudhry is that this isn't performative solidarity...it's just who she is. She's exactly the same in real life and has always stood up for what's right, even when it's difficult and against all odds. I saw that firsthand when we worked in the same newsroom. That's why so many of us admire and love her.

In undergrad, French of all things. Didn't know a word; thought I'd learn a new language. I was told I'd be in the beginner's class, so I signed up. One week later, we were suddenly informed that the beginner's class was over and we would now be in the advanced class (?!). Felt like I spent months watching a film without subtitles and crying. Alliance Francaise came to my rescue.

My 12th cut off was 197.75 i didn’t get anna university, short of 2. My classmate with a low cut off got into AU through reservation.
In my college i was the one with highest cut off in that batch. My friends would often ask me, y didn’t i choose AU?
