Fwiw: I've been saying for months, if Crimson Desert tries to go for a strong narrative and sucks, I hope everything else around it is awesome. Breath of the Wild didn't do anything story-wise for me but everything around fuckin rocked and it's one of my faves of all time. That being said, almost every NPC in zelda games are likeable/silly/weird/interesting so that at least made character interactions fun IMO.

@LukeStephens @LegacyKillaHD none of my games media friends/coworkers have an issue with the lack of hand holding, seems like they just wanted compelling characters and an interesting narrative in addition to the cool systems. cmon man, lets be better than the "games journalists suck at games 🤣" crowd.

No Crimson Desert review from me yet. exploration is incredible BUT … i dislike the combat quite a bit.
it’s not bad. but it plays like the Assassins Creed RPG era of slashing a guy 5-6 times before doing a finisher, with loose dodges and rolls and plastic feeling defense
