@MizutamariVT I’ve noticed that many have commented that pirating games bankrupts companies, but nobody has listed a single big named company that has gone bankrupt from people outside of japan pirating their games

One of the interesting arguments the JP side has had against Stop Killing Games is that to make an offline version or would cost 50% to 100% more of the games original budget to do it. I'm not sure if this is just a blatant lie, genuine incompetence or total ignorance. We have guys with no access to the source code able to reverse engineer servers with, relatively speaking, minimal effort. If Joe Everyman can do it for 0 dollars in his basement without the nessecary information, how come companies that actually have that information apparently can't do?

@Marionete04 Something I’m genuinely confused about is don’t the people who make a game already get paid by the time a game launches? Individuals who worked on a game don’t get royalties right? So how is pirating a game creating a loss for the creator if they were already paid to begin with?

I’ve seen absolutely wild tweets from japanese people on the tl today oh my god. People saying pirating is the same a killing god, people saying they’d condone slavery if it was legal, portraying Black people as violent, saying latin america is full of barbarians. What?!?!

@higureshuuen I’m not sure where you heard this, but no one buys pirated manga. In fact, anytime some has tried to do that, people vehemently admonish them and refuse to purchase.
