God’s word feeds our faith. The Apostle Paul said, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17) Jesus said, “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” (Revelation 2:7) It’s through the Holy Spirit that we hear God’s word, and the Bible is one way the Holy Spirit speaks to us, as He is the one who moved upon the hearts of those who wrote down the words (2 Peter 1:16-21). Jesus said that the Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth, and all of God’s word is truth (John 16:13; 17:17). Therefore, it’s through the Holy Spirit opening the truth of God’s word that we have unlimited access to the vast wealth of God’s wisdom. Faith is the muscle that helps us live life to the fullest. But for that muscle to work, we must nourish it, and faith’s nourishment is God’s word. Faith is the currency by which we secure God’s heavenly wisdom, as the Lord tells us to come and buy truth, wisdom, instruction, and insight without money (Isaiah 55:1). So, let’s feed our faith by allowing the Holy Spirit to feed our soul and spirit through His word. Take Care and God Bless.

The conclusion of Jesus’s death, burial, and resurrection is that anyone who believes in Him is now dead to sin and alive in Christ, meaning they will live with Christ throughout eternity, beginning with their acceptance and faith. This is at the heart of today’s verse. Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” (John 5:24) The truth is that we will live forever with Him. The great part is that He defeated death once and for all, rose from the dead, and is alive at the right hand of the Father, interceding on our behalf. How great is that! Because death no longer has dominion over Jesus, it no longer has dominion over those who believe in Him. Just as Jesus rose from the dead, believers then share in His resurrected life. Therefore, we can live in the presence of God for all eternity, and it starts with our faith in Jesus Christ. What a wonderful verse to reflect on today, and may it bring peace and joy to hearts burdened by a world spiraling into chaos. Take care and God bless.
