It’s still pretty basic, but I think shows some promise. Could see this working for a few other options, I.e. Customs procedures, Incoterms, internal container dimensions etc. You can find a link to it here logistically.co.uk/bifa-terms-and…

Been playing around with a simple chatbot to break down freight forwarder T&Cs (BIFA for now) into plain English. Questions like: • Freight has been damaged in transit - what are our responsibilities? • How do I make a claim for lost goods? • What are SDR calculations?

No training. Just a clean, shared workspace that works the way you do. Still early days, but if you’re managing regular shipments and want to try it out, please let me know. We’re inviting a few more businesses to help shape how it evolves. markwoolnough.com/you-dont-need-…

You don’t need another email chain. You need answers. We’re testing a new version of a client portal with a few of our shipping clients, just a clean, shared space for tracking shipment related info in one place

Visibility shouldn’t feel like micromanagement. It should mean having the right info, at the right time, without having to chase it. We’re working on something simple. A better way for importers and exporters to stay in control, without living in their inbox.

We’ve worked with importers copied into 30+ email threads a week, just to track one shipment. Buried in updates… and still unsure: - Has it shipped yet? - What’s the ETA? - Have the documents been sent?

Freight operations don’t need a revolution. They need fewer manual clicks. Automation isn’t coming “one day.” It’s available right now for anyone who wants to work smarter. What’s one freight task you’d love to automate 😀 markwoolnough.com/freight-automa…

No overcomplicated AI. No “digital transformation” jargon. Just practical, boring automation that saves hours every week.

Freight automation > Freight frustration AI is cool. But you know what’s cooler? Not drowning in paperwork and emails every day.

And most teams don’t have the time or space to train them up properly. So pressure builds. Stuff gets missed. And before you know it, the whole team’s firefighting. Hiring’s not wrong. But it’s not enough.

Why are we still trying to fix freight’s talent problem one hire at a time? Freight’s got a talent issue. Everyone agrees. But the go-to solution still seems to be: hire someone new. The issue is, that rarely fixes anything.

And when new starters don’t get the support, they leave. Or worse….they stay, but never get the time or training to step up. That’s not a recruitment issue. It’s an ops issue. Until we fix that, the freight talent gap is only going to get bigger.

Hiring New Freight Talent? That’s Only Half the Battle. Hiring’s not the problem. Keeping them is. Last week I asked: Where’s the next generation of freight professionals coming from?
