@riimusto @StoltSuvi @Children_MDPI @MDPIOpenAccess @helsinkiuni in already vulnerable populations. And at population level I do have concerns regarding the decrease in time spent reading for pleasure that we see in both kids and adults, at least here in Sweden.)

@riimusto @StoltSuvi @Children_MDPI @MDPIOpenAccess @helsinkiuni (I can add that I’m definitely not an absolutist when it comes to screen time for kids and my own toddlers have def binge watched kids shows while home with a cold while I myself scroll twitter at the same time, but I do have concerns especially regarding extended use

Which obviously isn’t >normal< and it’s a problem if issues go undetected because the child was born at the same time as its sibling. Anyway, if anyone ever wants to talk about twins and language development I’m here 👋🏽🙋🏻‍♀️

and I see this coming up frequently in parental groups for parents of twins/multiples. There can be 3year olds who are essentially non-verbal and the parents may hear from other twin parents, daycare workers or healthcare professionals “oh, don’t worry, it’s a twin thing”
