@twnkiehuntr What is wrong with holding a better player to a higher standard? When you are looking at who was worse, you obviously need to factor in who they actually are as a player. I am considering what should have been to what actually happened, Kobe’s bad series isn’t as surprising to me

@loidentity Kobe was objectively worse. Holding LeBron to a higher standard doesn’t make hisnbetter performance worse just because he let you down

@RimRunna23g5h You say stats dont matter and then so why did CP3 have a better case if it's not stats? Cos LA was the 1 seed and being a Top 3 player on the 1 seed was the overwhelming criteria to detemine MVP. If you make Def 1st Team +Top 2 in ppg+ best record of course you deserve MVP.

@Xanthos24 He just won a playoff series as the best player on the court. Where he signs and what his contract is at 42, does it really mean anything? It is hardly sad.

Going out sad. And worse is that no one even wants him on their team. Him and Rich Paul are so stupid it’s not even funny. Went from wanting a max with lakers to accepting a minimum contract. What a joke. Overvalued himself and it’s backfired.
Fullcourtpass@Fullcourtpass

LeBron James will be a "supporting piece" on his new team, per @WindhorstESPN "He's not considering any of these teams where he would go in and be the center piece player. That's why he's only going to make a minimum contract or get an exception." (Via @GetUpESPN)

@6Hogg6 Lakers went from perennial lottery team to LeBron showing up winning a ring in 2 years, now he is moving on and they are set up with Luka. It is common sense to try to win now with an all time great on your team, what are you even talking about?

"LeBron James is about LeBron James." So simple yet so poignant. This is why LeBron can gut teams, trade future picks, get coaches fired, etc because "LeBron James is about LeBron James". He doesn't care about the future of the team. He doesn't care about the fans. He cares about what he can do for himself. He isn't this selfless teammate the media portrays. Michael Jordan could say, "I'm a Bull. I want what's best for the Bulls because this is where I see myself now and in the future." LeBron is always looking for the next destination, which is why teams get left in shambles the moment he leaves.

Actor Alfonso Ribeiro reveals what he believes caused the current drop in NBA ratings and says LeBron James’s original decision to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Miami Heat to chase Michael Jordan’s six championship rings ruined basketball. Also, Alfonso Ribeiro says the Kobe and Shaq era would have been the greatest era in the history of basketball if they had gotten their egos in check. (🎥 Byron Scott's Fast Break/YouTube)

@olympicbean LeBron is primarily left open? You literally just make stuff up. It is honestly not hard to figure out who has the tougher 3PT shot diet, looking it up isn’t hard. Try knowing what you are talking about every once in awhile.

3PT% in the playoffs Jordan - 33.2% Bean - 33.1% Bron - 33.2% Now consider the fact that Bron is primarily left open and played longer into the 3-point-friendly era… Kobe and Jordan's are much more impressive lol
Larry P. 🏀@NycVipers

@lit3rally23 Bron shoots a better 3-pt % than the two ball hogs next to him. Hate is a mental illness, and it looks nice on you.

Funny how LeBron fans act like he’s levels above 40 year old Jordan when the they had very similar stats And MJ wasn’t sitting out games and using his age as an excuse so he had a bigger sample size lmao

@loidentity @jordankobewade7 Actually it would’ve been 3 losses in a row on the road and LA would’ve been facing elimination in games 6-7😌👍 And they did it in purpose. The Pacers were more worried about kobe than Shaq. So they targeted Kobe all series. But I guess if you actually watched it you’d know👍

you really gotta learn to count my boy not only to 5, for how many chips kobe led his teams to, but also to 6 for how many championship chances bron lost (3x more than kobe btw)… so to recap, he won less times, while losing 3x more, despite chasing rings for most of his career….🥴🥴🥴

@jordankobewade7 Still more than Kobe, Kobe lead a team to a championship twice, Lebron 4 times ( in a much much tougher era, League was very weak when Kobe got his two rings)

@MegaTJP @jordankobewade7 Yes yes they also had to amputate it at halftime but be single handedly won the game that would have counted as 4 losses 1v5. Thank you for reminding me

@loidentity @jordankobewade7 Imagine not even watching the finals to see he shattered his ankle in game 2 and played the rest of the series on one leg…and STILL carried the team to close out game 4 which almost would’ve been LA’s death sentence had they lost😌👍

@ApexJonesHACKED Kobe lost in 5 in the biggest finals upset in NBA finals history, and was horrible, as the 2nd best player on his team. 22-3-4 on 38% and 17% from 3. When you are coming up with lies, at least don't actually name the obviously examples proving that you are clueless lol.

NO SUPERSTAR has a 2011 Finals. MJ never lost in the Finals, so kill that noise. Kobe didn't predict 8 championships then sh*t the bed as 3rd fiddle. No superstar in sports history has ever said "we're gonna win 8 championships" then performed like LeBron in 2011 Show me 1
Keeper of the Code@RioIsTrio

every superstar has a “stain.” mj: was 0-6 versus larry bird in the playoffs. kobe: lost to the pistons in ‘04 as the biggest favorites in nba finals history. guess they’re dq’d too.

@KobesPupil @OfficialDomNBA Why do people act like Kobe is the only person who played in this mythical hardest era. Like what exactly is the era? LeBron was a rookie in 03, from his rookie year to 2013 he is 27-7-7 on better efficiency. By his 2nd year he was 27-7-7 on 47% lol... When did this era occur?

Kobe Bryant from 2000 to 2013 averaged: 27.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 1.6 steals, 0.6 blocks, 45.5% FG, 33.6% 3P, 84.0% FT His first 2 seasons were spent off the bench. His last 3 seasons were spent on 1 leg. These are what Kobe stats TRULY are. Debate a wall.

@doubleking00243 OKC would have got blown out without Caruso playing out of his mind. That is without Fox, and without a single starter shooting 50% other than Wemby. Will OKC be better? Yea. Spurs should be better as well.

@loidentity @NBA__Courtside Were there 9 yrs btwn 91 and 2000 w/ out a chip? Yes or no? Lakers franchise don’t measure by playoffs wins. 50 & 60 win seasons ARE down yrs to the Lakers standard. No one knew how Kobe would come back after the injury. Thus he was worth considering. Absurd take

Shannon Sharpe on the Lakers taking LeBron James for granted: “The Lakers eight years before LeBron got there, they was 279 and 371. They won 42% of their games. In the eight years with LeBron, they’re 357 and 278. That’s 56% win rate. So overall before he arrived at your franchise you’re winning about 40% of your games. Once he’s there, you win about 62% of your games. So basically that’s a 22% increase. Now this them people like, “Oh, LeBron ain’t do nothing.” Eight years in Milwaukee. How many championships does Giannis have? How many NBA finals have he gone to? One, he’s finals MVP. In eight years in Denver how many championships have Jokic won? Interesting. Now, Giannis is deemed successful. Jokic is deemed successful. Only one with the same amount of championships, a finals MVP, only one is deemed unsuccessful.” (Via @NightcapShow_)
