FTR's next step is interesting to me, because while I expect them to stay in AEW, I would get if they go to WWE to have a top run there I think if they re-sign with AEW in 2028, they should actively accept that they would need to move down from being THE top team. They have done everything they can do in AEW has a Tag Team - 3x AEW Tag Champ, ROH, IWGP, AAA Tag Champ.. While they are obviously an outstanding team, I think it would help AEW's Tag Team Division that they push new teams on the top of the division. Them & The Bucks are basically told and that's okay. They have different strengths and you are actively seeing that with the Bucks right now! FTR will likely move in a similar position if they are staying, where they will be relevant, but used to put over teams in the end I assume FTR will get a trios title run soon. It's the only thing they haven't done yet as a team that would make sense to do
