Manchester’s Sphagnum lawn, habitat to quite literally thousands of species, nearly vanished until not long ago. Watch this replanted Sphagnum regrow rapidly from Feb to June & Oct on this recovering @Lancswildlife reserve! 🌱❤️

Just 5 Large Heath (BoC) observed today on @LincsWildlife Crowle Moors but a few bonus species including 4-Dotted Footman #Lepidoptera Not sure about rest of UK🤔 but LH numbers not good in #HumberheadLevels this year😔 6th week of season which started with first LH on 27/05 so🤔

Ditch sampling on the Manchester Mosses today, visiting @EnvAgency and @Lancswildlife rewetted sites for our LP3+ project. Skies full of swallows, swifts and dragonflies. Even dragged my dad along to help out (he enjoyed it).
