Indian mustard already very tall- putting out a fungicide ahead of next week’s predicted rain

@bugs_are_us Good plan Andrew, and @crownanalytical will test for its impact on verticillium and Black root rot inoculum to using DNA diagnostics.

We are trying some Mustard behind cotton this year. The mustard powder will go to Japanese wasabi sauce. It will also help control some soil diseases that impact cotton and other crops. With high costs Aust farmers face, it is always difficult to find profitable rotation crops

That’s a wrap on #cotton24 for us.

Early infection #Verticillium can cause death #cotton. In a less frequent event a survivor shows very little classic leaf mottling. Yet both barely bear fruits Vert still prevalent in many of our surveyed fields, but mostly late infection, so the crops still performing well👍

Great discussions at the @GRDC Soil C project at Rennie where 10 different stubble and nutrient treatments are under evaluation in small plots and farmer strips over 5 years to evaluate impacts on soil C. Thanks to ⁦⁦@deltaagribus⁩ @kalyx @csiro teams.
