I hate that yugioh is the game that people have takes on despite having no real experience with it. I do not pass judgment publicly on games I do not know well, but I guess if you played for one year as an 8 year old it's fine.

@tchukkelz @LRSerling Idk I think this is just a magic thing 😂. Like yeah you can't actively lie to your opponent at any point. I'm yugioh you can't ask your opponent if they have X in hand and you also shouldn't be answering that. Like there's bluffing then there's straight up lying 😭 that's scummy

@loopo167 @LRSerling Isn’t that what bluffing is though? Doing something to lead your opponent into misplaying is definitionally bluffing. If someone asks me “Do you have Counterspell in your hand” I should be allowed to just lie. Not very sportsmanlike, but then again, why take my word for it?

Juat found out that in competitive irl yugioh bluffing is illegal?? A player got a 6 month tournament ban for putting tokens off to the side that his deck doesnt actually use in order to trick opponents into believing hes running different cards than he was

@Zakk_dotcom @Readyforduel Pure patron is yeah, they make a really strong board, have room for decent none engine and is consistent. Most lists I've seen from OCG are just ftks though 😂

@KillerKeeWee @Luminousplay Yeah ofc, but at the same time anyone who's new or less experienced is always gonna have that experience playing into arguably one of the best of all time. Doesn't help it was an ftk format either 😂

@Luminousplay @KillerKeeWee Like as someone who started playing "competitivly" as a child I never got the appeal. To me the best way to learn was to play against people who knew what they were doing

@Luminousplay @KillerKeeWee Ngl I started playing when I was like 10y/o and Our locals at one point tried doing a "kids tournament" for younger people but I never had interest cause I'd rather play against people who were competent. Theres also a 14y/o at locals rn who plays meta and swept dragonduels
