@G5_Trash There does seem to be a ceiling on the amount of views my style of videos can get, but I think my upload schedule is a larger issue with regards to my channel's viability on youtube. The views thing might work itself out if my channel grows naturally.

@G5_Trash I can't speak for RJ, but I'm not sure I would say my issue is that the community hasn't rewarded me; I'm actually very grateful for the success I've had making videos so far!

You can see it evident in the fact that we don’t have our own Rhystic Studies and this community actively does not reward creators who make thought provoking content (like OutofCharacters, RJ, etc.)

@PeepsYGO yeah, i like seeing the videos by people who put in the effort to learn and then give their takes on it. it's nice after the deluge of uninformed takes over the years

@OfCharacters 100% agree, which is why the current trend of creators from other games earnestly trying yugioh and developing an understanding of the metagame is VERY refreshing.

I hate that yugioh is the game that people have takes on despite having no real experience with it. I do not pass judgment publicly on games I do not know well, but I guess if you played for one year as an 8 year old it's fine.

Nobody judges other games by the opinions of those who haven't risen to the skill floor, and yet with yugioh...

@Gnurrgard @JordanG9780 the branded fusion combo you showed won me the singular game i did it in at ycs pittsburgh so make sure to keep track of that when deciding whether or not you're making content responsibly

I watched @JordanG9780 Video on Dracotail and he commented that "combos on YT played into Veiler/Imperm" I know mine did, so I think I should rethink my approach to what combos to show (highest output vs safer lines) Maybe do the highest output but comment on Handtrap spots?

@MBTYuGiOh In college, my friends played a format where you'd duel on two treadmills. 1k lp lost is 1 mph of speed, and you'd play until someone couldn't run anymore.

if you're a new player, you might get thrashed by meta few times, but you could very quickly be placed into an appropriate rank, and can learn and grow from there. literally every other game does this, I never understood why it wasn't done in MD or Duel Links.

Rating duels are great for this, but to play in them you already need to be in the top percentage of players. The rating duel system with placement games being the default ladder would be a way better way to match players of similar skill.

I've always thought that the master duel ladder system is not functional as a ladder. it does a poor job of pitting players of similar skill against each other.

Played you yesterday or day before. Told you playing exodia on db ladder hurts the format as a whole because people will be discouraged to continue playing if that's their first experience with the format. Sad to see your still playing it. Do better. Be better.
