Let me try to answer this as objectively as possible I believe that October 7 awakened a lot of latent antisemitism in the West, particularly among the creative class (actors, artists, comedians, filmmakers, writers). In retrospect, it seems as if it was always there, waiting for an opportune moment to emerge The mass murder of Jews — the largest since the Holocaust — did something to the aforementioned creative class. Something very ugly It gave them (in their minds) permission to be open about their true views about Jewish people
Bennett Arron@BennettArron

Seeing long term friends calling you “a baby killer” or “genocide supporter” just because you are Jewish makes you realise how easily the Holocaust was allowed to happen. The question is have they always been secretly antisemitic and this is the excuse they have been waiting for?

@terrynewman All of that is true, especially the inability to define the word. But Heather MacPherson also reminds us that "fascist" just doesn't mean much anymore.

This is very irresponsible. Politicians should not be implying other politicians are fascists. It is a form of dehumanization that implies that their opponents are evil and that their lives are therefore disposable. And I can almost guarantee they couldn't define the word or explain how the person they accuse is supposed to be one. We are in the dumbest and darkest timeline.

The World Cup was hosted by Canada, the United States, and Mexico. All three world leaders were present and on the field. Only one handed out the trophy and the medals though. Can you guess which one?

@omgsidewalks They (corporations) and they (government) are not the same. You have proved the conservative point: government is ineffective and free markets work.

Unpopular opinion: The fact that they can quickly install data centers nationally means they could've been updating infrastructure which they claimed was too difficult and expensive.

@MikeBartner Big game doubts but lost to Makar in 5 games… lol Also.. the last 2 seasons Makar has 2 Norris nominations and a Norris win. Hughes has just 1 nomination. So you’re giving him the edge cuz Hellebuyck won him a Gold?

Here’s my reasoning for the Hughes>Makar placement. It’s very close and could change in 6 months, but Hughes has been pretty clearly the best per game D-Man the last 3 regular seasons and this year put any big game doubts to rest after a great Olympics and Playoffs.

America where we bring singers mostly not born in America (besides Madonna) and have them perform together for a soccer half time show. JUST A BIG MELTING POT OF RANDOM!

I get A LOT of hate and THREATS from people that align with the Liberal Party of Canada. The Party that prides themselves on Inclusion, Unity, and diversity So it’s a mystery why it appears the most hateful people come from one side of the aisle 👀 Truly a mystery

@spencerpratt Like companies are taking advantage by demanding subsidies while increasing profit margins? Perhaps instead of subsidizing private industry we should nationalize necessities?

Isn’t it weird how unsubsidized consumer goods like TVs, appliances, clothes, all get cheaper and cheaper…while anything government puts its hands on, healthcare, housing, food, tuition, cars, utilities…just gets more and more unaffordable? Oh well. Probably nothing.

Hitler is mentioned a lot in history books. Stalin and Mao are nearly footnotes despite doing far worse. You should ask yourself why.

It is with profound sadness that the Saskatchewan Roughriders mourn the loss of linebacker and team captain Jayden Dalke, who passed away in a car accident yesterday evening. A relentless warrior on the field, Jayden’s determination, toughness and work ethic inspired his teammates, who cared deeply for him and are heartbroken by his passing. Jayden had a unique gift of making the people around him feel special and valued. No one ever left a conversation with him without a smile. On and off the field, he was the true definition of what it means to be a Saskatchewan Roughrider. Our hearts go out to the entire Dalke family, who traveled the country to watch Jayden live his dream. We will miss him terribly and will never forget the impact he had on our lives and our team.

It’s genuinely embarrassing how NHL fans like to discredit every Oilers player just because they play with McDavid. How is a 50+ goal scorer in D tier? This is the same nonsense Bouchard and Draisaitl have had to deal with

@gator_gum Carney is literally selling off public infrastructure to private interest. Are you willing to critique the liberal party and it's policies that harm Canadians to benefit foreign interest?

As much as I dislike Poilievre, I'd never be rooting for him to fail as PM, manufacturing fake shame to mock him over and pull down Canada. I wouldn't ever be rooting for other foreign leaders over our own country. I wouldn't be high fiving and cheering on foreign politicians trying to sanction him over a slightly more than average fire season. I can't believe how badly some individuals want pain and failure for Canada just so they can post political swipes that aren't even accurate, nor true.
