Let me try to answer this as objectively as possible
I believe that October 7 awakened a lot of latent antisemitism in the West, particularly among the creative class (actors, artists, comedians, filmmakers, writers).
In retrospect, it seems as if it was always there, waiting for an opportune moment to emerge
The mass murder of Jews — the largest since the Holocaust — did something to the aforementioned creative class. Something very ugly
It gave them (in their minds) permission to be open about their true views about Jewish people
Bennett Arron@BennettArron
Seeing long term friends calling you “a baby killer” or “genocide supporter” just because you are Jewish makes you realise how easily the Holocaust was allowed to happen. The question is have they always been secretly antisemitic and this is the excuse they have been waiting for?

@TheBreakdownAB Redford couldn't even imagine

Scoop!
After years of the UCP making it out that there was no specific budget for "Your Province, Your Premier", it turns out that Albertans are paying A LOT!
Like almost $10,000 a month a LOT!

@mfproudman @terrynewman Yes it does. History is repeating itself and y'all too blind to see
English

@terrynewman All of that is true, especially the inability to define the word.
But Heather MacPherson also reminds us that "fascist" just doesn't mean much anymore.
English

This is very irresponsible. Politicians should not be implying other politicians are fascists. It is a form of dehumanization that implies that their opponents are evil and that their lives are therefore disposable. And I can almost guarantee they couldn't define the word or explain how the person they accuse is supposed to be one. We are in the dumbest and darkest timeline.

English

@terrynewman Fascist isn't a protected class. You call it evil when you see it
English

@gator_gum The one that continues to enable Canadian corruption?
English

@neslaughter @omgsidewalks Oh, so they're happening without government subsidies?
English

@omgsidewalks They (corporations) and they (government) are not the same.
You have proved the conservative point: government is ineffective and free markets work.
English

@ProducerDrew_ @MikeBartner Obviously you guys can't come to an understanding because bouchard is the obvious #1.
It's ok. He doesn't need the accolades. He's not an avalanche fan
English

@MikeBartner Big game doubts but lost to Makar in 5 games… lol
Also.. the last 2 seasons Makar has 2 Norris nominations and a Norris win.
Hughes has just 1 nomination.
So you’re giving him the edge cuz Hellebuyck won him a Gold?
English

@JosieAve Mostly not from america? Are you specifically talking about the world cup half time show?
English

@MelissaLMRogers You know this makes it sound like even though you get liberal threats the most hateful of the conservatives
English

@uncledoomer Or that the vast majority of people will never need this.
What a waste
English

@amacheraaron @ArchangeAntoine @TheModerateCase @elonmusk @JeffBezos @DonaldTrump @Walmart Or they could not exist and all that wealth they're hoarding could actually be useful to the economy
English

@ArchangeAntoine @TheModerateCase @elonmusk @JeffBezos @DonaldTrump @Walmart They also contribute the most to are system statistically and in real world situations they employ directly and indirectly most of the people working. Without out them there would be less need for infrastructure leading to sloppy roads and general miss care.
English

@sarbjitkaur1 Would make more sense to fight for better conditions if it was about xenophobia, no?
English

They're so "concerned" they wanna deport everyone.
Ryan O'Connor@rpoconnor
Apparently being concerned about housing affordability for Canadians and abusive living conditions for temporary residents is "xenophobia"

@spencerpratt Like companies are taking advantage by demanding subsidies while increasing profit margins?
Perhaps instead of subsidizing private industry we should nationalize necessities?
English

@RealCalvin1 Remember when it was "lest we forget?"
I guess we forgot.
English

@BrindleyGlazer Can you imagine if an NHLer got a DV charge and then took the ice? I wouldn’t foresee it ending well for him.
English

The NHL, unlike the NBA or NFL doesn't have many DV cases. I wonder why
Ian Kennedy@IanKennedyCK
The NHL remains the only major league out there without a domestic violence policy.
English

@TyWebb72661163 @BrindleyGlazer Was he not implying it was because they have no DV policy?
The league of Kyle beach and the hockey Canada five? No way he thinks it's cuz of race...
I'm setting myself up for disappointment aren't I?
English

@BrindleyGlazer Yeah your stupid attempts at racism aside I’m a Prosecuting Attorney and most DV defendants are white. Not all of course but the picture you try to paint sucks
English

@PaulieGPeanuts @sskroughriders Reports require sources.
English

@sskroughriders Reports are he was the drunk driver? Sad.
English

It is with profound sadness that the Saskatchewan Roughriders mourn the loss of linebacker and team captain Jayden Dalke, who passed away in a car accident yesterday evening. A relentless warrior on the field, Jayden’s determination, toughness and work ethic inspired his teammates, who cared deeply for him and are heartbroken by his passing.
Jayden had a unique gift of making the people around him feel special and valued. No one ever left a conversation with him without a smile. On and off the field, he was the true definition of what it means to be a Saskatchewan Roughrider.
Our hearts go out to the entire Dalke family, who traveled the country to watch Jayden live his dream. We will miss him terribly and will never forget the impact he had on our lives and our team.

@TopTierPucks That was two seasons ago....
English

@gator_gum Carney is literally selling off public infrastructure to private interest.
Are you willing to critique the liberal party and it's policies that harm Canadians to benefit foreign interest?
English

As much as I dislike Poilievre, I'd never be rooting for him to fail as PM, manufacturing fake shame to mock him over and pull down Canada.
I wouldn't ever be rooting for other foreign leaders over our own country.
I wouldn't be high fiving and cheering on foreign politicians trying to sanction him over a slightly more than average fire season.
I can't believe how badly some individuals want pain and failure for Canada just so they can post political swipes that aren't even accurate, nor true.
