@peteleo68 @AdamRadomsky metacognitive theory which describes how metacognitive beliefs (includes loss of control) is present in patients and how to treat these. Sun et al have also highlighted how metacognitive beliefs are present across psychopathologies: doi:10.1016/j.eurpsy.2017.05.029

@AdamRadomsky All the articles lin the special issue focus on the model which has at its heart negative metacognitive beliefs about losing control of thinking, memories behaviours and emotions It describes how to modify such beliefs and processes- it fits pretty well.
