MAGA man calls ICE to detain auto mechanic after car is fixed—to avoid paying him. Agents shoot the man with pepper spray—after he is already on the ground handcuffed. "He called ICE to my house to arrest my father in order to avoid paying for work he completed on his cars," his daughter said. The incident occurred in The Colony suburb of Dallas, Texas.

@LongTimeHistory This is beyond disgusting and is happening more and more! I just saw another story exactly like this where a woman employed multiple workers from Venezuela to do a large remodel on her house. When they were 99% done, she called ICE so she didn't have to pay the 10,000 she owed!

ICE arrested a 5th grader and 2nd grader at the school bus stop in San Antonio as their classmates watched in horror. Their stepmother was detained with them. The community at Alamo Heights Independent School District elementary is speaking out—no child should be locked away at the Dilley trailer prison. I am in touch with their father, Victor Labrador, and I plan on visiting with the family during my inspection of Dilley tomorrow. The family were asylum seekers and had valid work permits—what is happening to them is shameful.

You've made it hard for them to qualify, cut the amount they can get, then drive the cost of healthy food up to a point they can't afford it! The only reason they buy sodas and Hot dogs is because that's all they can afford! I should know, I've been there!

The House voted 186-238 against my amendment banning sugary sodas from SNAP. Taxpayers shouldn’t be forced to fund unhealthy, sugary drinks that provide ZERO nutritional value. Assistance programs should prioritize real nutrition, not subsidize unhealthy junk with taxpayer dollars!
