@octal A big roadblock is concessionaires get the contracts for the large airports and the restaurants are staffed by the concessionaires’ employees. Usually why quality/service can be so bad sometimes. I’m sure a special exception for In-N-Out could be made at renewal time.

What would it take to get an In-n-Out inside the terminal at an airport in the US? A lot of the airports charge truly extortionate rents (including percentage of profit), but Chick-fil-A makes it work, so there has to be a way.

@the_UrbanWolf You should lobby for @ThroneBathrooms to be installed. This is basically the same idea as yours. People like them here in Los Angeles and they stay clean.

Instead of building $300k public bathrooms, cities could pay small businesses $20k per year to offer public bathrooms , on condition they post the sign and clean them 1x per hour and enforce the rules. I think lots of businesses would take money to pay themselves to clean.

@LukeBarnett Relax. Same number of gates, and you still have to walk outside to get on the plane. Similar to how Long Beach was modernized. The increase in building size might mean a few more minutes of walking, but now with better amenities and more space at the gates.

A dozen homeowners shut down a highly popular pickleball complex. Among the complaints were that the noise made it difficult to sleep (as if people were playing pickleball at 11 pm) & that street parking was an issue (even though every house has a driveway). NIMBYism is cancer!
