< 24hrs from unboxing my devkit to a working mvp. today I built a smart baby monitor that: - clones the mother's voice from a 45 sec recording - detects crying in 20s rolling windows - classifies intensity and selects interventions autonomously - plays soothing speech in mom's voice through the speaker - escalates to alerting the parent via text message thru openclaw if soothing fails after 5 min - transcribes the entire night with speaker diarization - delivers a spoken morning summary augmented parenting, not automated parenting. demo has crying, be warned. thanks @JesseRank and @openhome for having me at the demo last night and for giving me a devkit while there!

Hermes Agent wrote a novel. "The Second Son of the House of Bells" runs 79,456 words across 19 chapters. The agent built its own pipeline to do it, using the ame modify-evaluate-keep/discard loop as @karpathy's Autoresearch but applied to fiction: world-building, chapter drafting, adversarial editing, Opus review loops, LaTeX typesetting, cover art, audiobook generation, and landing page setup. Super proud to be able to say that the famous Attention Is All You Need paper—the one that sparked the current unprecedented wave of interest in AI and has been cited 237,078 times since 2017—is now available on @ChapterPal. Enjoy reading a great paper with an AI tutor: chapterpal.com/s/9b8yltb1/att…

Chinese state media made an AI-generated cartoon about the US-Iran conflict. Extremely well done!

A tweet went viral the other week arguing that consumer AI agents don't have real use cases because "people don't do much work in their personal lives." 662K views. A lot of agreement. @clairevo replied with 33 counterexamples. I replied with a bunch of my own - and then decided to actually run one of them. My twins are turning 3. The theme is ornicorns and balloons. I had been putting off planning this party for weeks until I remembered I could just ask Lulubot to do it. So I did. It: → Compiled and de-duped the guest list → Designed and sent all the invites from its own email account → Tracked RSVPs as they came in → Built a to-do list and project plan → Created a progressive web app pinned to my home screen - a live countdown with upcoming action items → Pushes me a Telegram notification when something needs to get done that day 38 invites in inboxes by dinner. The AI wrote copy I would never have written myself and I kept every word. Full story + the one trick that made the whole thing work 👇 open.substack.com/pub/jacalulu/p…

Thinking about this old poem of mine this week –

I spoke to Anthropic’s AI agent Claude about AI collecting massive amounts of personal data and how that information is being used to violate our privacy rights. What an AI agent says about the dangers of AI is shocking and should wake us up.
