@jfinch @CliffCullenMLA As a professional educator with four university degrees all geared toward making me a better teacher I really took offence at his quote: “We want to make sure our teachers and school staff have the knowledge, skills and tools to make sure they can teach in the classroom”.

In other words, @CliffCullenMLA really doesn't know how it will work.

@tweetsomemoore And further to that, if the teacher is in tears, we are also doing something wrong.

My little friend was in tears & wanted to quit school. SHE’S 8! So we ditched her assignment & did a reflection on her strengths and stretches. A page of writing! This is her “I did it” face. This is what joy in learning looks like. If kids are in tears we are doing it wrong.

@MichelleSSacco Also, I am grateful to have access to technology but as so many are now working from home, the wifi is not working efficiently and everything is slow and frustrating.

@lori_bodner Thank you. As an educator myself I’m feeling overwhelmed not only supporting my colleagues but trying to help my daughter in grade 11. She needs some adaptations and supports that are not coming in this format and I feel like I’m failing her when I should be able to do better!

Just wondering if any other teacher parents are getting frustrated with attempting to support their own child with online learning? Been a tough go with my own teenager!
